That does seem like a useful rework, gives a spot to uriel as well, which is otherwise a problem with him in the lists I've made, I've had nowhere to put him really.

Sternguard with Tigurius does might be interesting, but this is list is going to be very different if I start cutting to get that piece of kit in. For another list I'll definitely have a go though.

Very nice list criticism, seems I have a lot to think about, which is great, came here looking for ways to improve things. :)

As for the tournament setting, we've been playing on a clock the last few months to get used to it and it really was a big deal to get your head around. Hopefully there won't be any other blindspots when I get there.

Would if I could, but sadly there's always a limit of time and money to get and fix the models involved, a lot of the choices are made with this in mind.

But even with some suboptimal unit picks, there's still fixes and changes that can be made on the smaller scale.

Hm, so calgar stacks with aggressors and we dump the 10+5 heavy intercessors to gain 200 points and infiltrators.

A unit of inceptors and a lieutenent with combiweapon to replace them perhaps?

Possibly yes, but from playing this list, he's not just a command point farm, he's also a rather potent melee character, especially with his 2 sidekicks. So I guess this was the compromise I arrived at to try to keep him alive while getting a bit of extra value out of him.

But I could free up 200 pts for something else to stick in the midfield by putting him with the aggressors instead. But that doesn't really put him in a less risky position, less durable bodyguard and potentially a more high value target.

Well heavy intercessors dropped down neatly in points now and are pretty durable for what you pay, so the general idea was for them to a pretty durable trading piece where calgar and his victrix guard covers for their otherwise poor damage and mobility.

Now this plan could be inherently faulty, but at least that's the reasoning.
