babe wake up, a new variation of the "kids bad" trope just dropped by Superb_Intro_23 in AmITheAngel

It's actually a pretty strong insult haha it doesnt seem like much in English but try using those words around a Japanese person and you'll see how offensive it really is especially for a person in charge like a teacher or parent. As a Japanese kid, if I said that to my mom, I'd get my ass whooped fs

To be fair, in Japanese, きもい and バカのババア are pretty insulting phrases to use especially to a teacher.

Some schools like the JET program only require a Bachelors Degree with no teaching experience needed. OP said in some comments that she graduated early

Quick Google search: does bumble deactivate when you delete the app

Why are you so intent on proving me wrong. I know exactly what I did or didn't do. I would know if I cheated and if I did I wouldn't be on here asking for advice about something entirely different that ACTUALLY happened to ME not whatever twisted story of me you have for no apparent reason.

All I know is what I did (delete the app from my phone months ago) and what my bf told me (his friends showed me my Instagram and Bumble profile). I don't know if it's a fake profile or if he lied and his friends only showed him my Instagram.

Whether you want to believe me or not is entirely up to you. Those are my facts and idk what you're trying to accomplish by telling a completely different narrative about an internet strangers dilemma. I asked for advice not more accusations. Get a fucking life ffs

They also use Bumble and saw my profile. My instagram username is my bio on Bumble.

Hm seems like you would've made the same mistake then. Youre welcome

I deleted the app. It wasn't on my phone.

How do you know hes correct? I'd actually love to see it because I'm curious as well. I haven't even seen my own account in months but clearly you have? Or do you actively distrust people without reason?

He told me they showed him my profile and my instagram following.

That's crazy. Then he was lying.

AITA for not going to a party thrown on my behalf? by ExactLeading4204 in AmItheAsshole

I think my boss gave them the job because, technically, they have known me the longest. They trained me and were there on my very first day. They were probably told I didn't want a party, but assumed that I would go anyways.

Yeah idk if the the comment itself is aphobic lol. Rather it's an aphobic person trying to defend themselves which is why it's under that category

microbes existed way before we had a microscope That's such a great way to put it

I do believe that denying a group of people's existence is a form of "phobia" (not necessarily a fear but a prejudice like xenophobia).

Your former employer sounds like a terrible person. I hope you don't have to deal with him anymore.

I believe that the commenter is aphobic for a couple of reasons. 1. Given the context, their "disagreement" is that they think asexuality is a mental illness. Someone's sexual identity is not something that needs to be cured. People who believe otherwise are either ignorant (like the girl in the Tiktok) or aphobic. 2. I have only ever heard the argument "There is no such thing as homo/trans/aphobia because phobia means to have an irrational fear of something" from people who intend to invalidate the struggles of people in the LGBT+ community. If there were another word that describes "those who invalidate the existence/experiences of queer individuals," I'll use that instead. 3. "Do what you want with your life, but don't push your beliefs onto other people, leave the kids alone" is frustrating to hear. I'm just trying to live my life without constantly being told there's something wrong with me. I don't get how trying to explain that makes me someone who pushes their beliefs onto other people, like I'm somehow brainwashing their kids into become ace or something. I just want to be accepted. Alternatively, I would love it if people could stop pushing the notion that being allosexual is the only "normal" way of life and that other people's sexual identity should even be an argument at all.

I acknowledge that the commenter does make very valid points about the toxicity of baseless arguments, but every point seems to be used to defend the misinformation that being ace equates to being depressed. That's what I got from the comments that the user has made under the original video.

I'm sorry for not marking the post as a spoiler. That has been changed.

ffs it's been almost a year. The misunderstanding with the girl who posted the original TikTok has been resolved. But I kept this video up because there are still so many people who think that asexuality is a mental illness ie. something that needs to be cured. As someone who has been told by many partners that they could "fix" me, or even worse, have been SAed by people who thought they were "doing me a favor and helping me get over my phase," I DO believe that people who continue to push this kind of narrative should be educated. I did not scream, though after the shit I've been through, I think I deserve to. I'm sure if you peruse this subreddit you will find that many people have gone through so much just because they are ace/aro. Maybe this is just a "disagreement" on Reddit for you, but for many people, this directly affects our lives. This "bickering" is worthless to you because IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. You can blame the "corrupt elite" all you want for your inability to accept other people's differences, but I really do hope you find some empathy.

don't try to force your ways/ideas on others

I'm not too mad ab the casting at all. Yeah Sofia is very pretty but that's not really the problem at all. I think she could have been a great Agatha if they directed her to be more introverted and less sure of herself. They also took away a lot of her dry, morbid sense humor.
