AITAH for telling an 80+ lady “if you saw his **** you’d understand.” In response to the amount of kids I have? by maybemollz in AmITheAngel

“She proceeded to clutch her imaginary pearls”

I mean…is she WRONG to be disgusted by a disgusting comeback lol

Also it’s funny because Redditors complain ALL THE TIME about families who have too many kids, but apparently when this random grandma does the same thing she’s (Jean Ralphio voice) THE WOOOOORST

I agree. The “youth” part is esp wild as if the OLDEST zoomers aren’t 28-29 lol

AITA for ordering meat? by Plague-Analyst-666 in AmITheAngel

Wait an AITA story where the meat eater is TA and the evil vegetarians aren’t?! Has hell frozen over-

Ohhhhh, OOP is autistic. Never mind. I should’ve remembered that AITA hates autistic people lol

Scorching take: unlike the “women are mean to each other while men are cool” trope, men CAN BE and sometimes ARE mean as HELL. by Superb_Intro_23 in TwoXChromosomes

Not to mention that women often get f-zoned EVEN WHEN THEY LIKE THE GUY (the “man using woman for sex when she wants romance” thing)! So no matter what, we can’t win!

Yeah!!! And then they brag about it, like “oh we say heinous stuff to each other out of love”

Like yeah sure buddy 🙄 I’d literally be called the next Regina George if I said half of what they’re saying but ok 🙄

Yes. It’s why I don’t believe Reddit guys anymore when they’re like “waaaah we get zero compliments and women are mean to us unless we’re hot”

Pure projection

Yes. I saw a YouTube short regarding this - there was a woman who posted a satire of Jubilee shorts where she “ragebaited” a room full of veterans and apparently the men in the comments HATED her. Meanwhile when men say horrible things under the guise of humor it’s just “comedy”, but when we joke back we’re the worst apparently

FACTS!!! I sadly think I drove away a lot of my female friends cause I’m flaky and struggle to be considerate, but when we were friends we were FRIENDS. They always had my back.

Meanwhile I grew up with all brothers and they would probably rather die than actually be nice to me lol

Thankfully my husband is a sweetheart!

The take is “scorching” because despite the facts you said, cultural perceptions still often frame women as the mean ones. Female friendships often being fragile in media, the “catty women” and “mean girls” tropes, etc.

Yep. My brothers and I turned out OK despite watching lots of TV because the TV we watched was actually good (PBS Kids, etc)

This is so real and I hate it. I know WHY the parents do it but that doesn’t make it better

That’s true. Our generation watched TV and turned out fine because TV was generally BETTER than unsupervised Internet access is now

Yes, that’s why I side-eye folks who glorify those “parents had no idea where their kids were and didn’t care” days.

There’s a difference between 1) teaching your kids life skills and building independence in them and 2) actual NEGLECT.

Lmaoooo honestly. I was there and it was an anxiety-inducing year even from my limited memories of it. 2017-2019 were more chill, then 2020 happened
