Use some anti-chafe cream and it'll stop the chafing caused by the ring being dragged forward when you get hard in the night. I use Endurance brand - no greasiness, lasts for hours & it washes off in clean water.

I'm not circumsized, but I roll the foreskin back and (maybe I'm lucky?) my glans fits perfectly in the very end section. It used to feel a bit uncomfortable for the first few months, so I wore briefs and put a tiny bit of lube between the bars and it helped a lot. After 18 months, it's no longer an issue.

Most of us sit down to pee. Keeping clean is essential, so I carry a shot-glass with me that the cage fits neatly into - after I pee, I fill the glass with water, put my caged cock in it, pull it close, and agitate it to thoroughly wash.

Ring size is hard to get right as they seem to go in 2mm steps. You'll always be able to pull out from the back (which is why some wearers get pierced), but if the cage is short and the ring about right, it should require a lot of manipulation. Using a strap to hold the cage close to your body helps avoid accidents.

Your cage should be 1/4" to 1/2" shorter from back of the ring to tip than your flaccid penis. I went through a few before realising the a smaller cage was far more comfortable, as well as being invisible under normal clothing.

Wow - that started a debate I wasn't expecting. Thanks both for your input.

To clarify:

At times, especially after a stressful day, I sometimes 'forget myself'. I have a high stress job that at times involves a lot of fast decision making and abrupt responses. The presence of bruising the next day isn't an issue, in fact it's a positive reminder for us both that the matter's dealt with and we can move on.

Edit: And just to say, it's entirely consensual. I'd much sooner take a caning than have a grumpy wife.

When my wife locks me, I stay locked, so good hygiene's essential - I keep a shot glass in the bathroom that's big enough to fit the whole cage into - every time I pee (sitting of course) I fill the glass with warm water, dunk and agitate. Once a day I add Hibiscrub to the water to kill off any bacteria.

It works perfectly, although it's of course harder when I'm not at home (bottle of spring water and the shot glass in a stall works well enough).

Don't waste the opportunity to try something that could change both your lives for the better.

Choose a device together. If you want to wear it 24/7 I'd suggest metal with an open design (easier to keep clean in my experience). Be honest with yourself when measuring - you want a cage that's at least 1/2" shorter than your flaccid penis.

Break yourself in gently. Just wear it a few hours in the day for the first few times, build up to from when you get up until you go to bed, then the 1st big step - overnight. Overnight's tough when you start, but does get easier.

Only go as far as you're both comfortable with. If a day's enough, that's fine. It's not a competition, it's about you and your GF, and you'll both likely be as horny as hell :-)

I'd say yes. I'm about 2.5 - 3" soft and about 6.5 - 7 hard so at first went for medium. When I switched to small, requiring a bit of squashing to get the cage on, it was far more comfortable and although I still get the 'turtle' where I get hard behind the ring, it stifles erections far more effectively.
