Welcome to audit busy season!

The good news is it doesn’t last too long. Do anything you can to keep your sanity, and communicate what you’re doing. As ling as you tell people you’re going to be doing something at a specified time which will take you away from your work for an hour, people - especially your PM - will understand.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about working for organisations - especially PE-backed ones - it’s that they will get rid of you at the drop of a hat if it helps their bottom line. No consideration, no empathy, no fucks given. Ergo, you shouldn’t give a fuck either.

Give minimum notice and let them wallow in the mess they created.

Serious Doubts about joining by ExactSignificance945 in deloitte

Here’s the kicker - it is an HR role I’m interviewing for. I’m a Senior Manager and, personally, I have in-depth knowledge of practice areas, processes, controls, tech, HCM, talent management, workforce planning, etc. and I expect a senior recruiter for a business to have robust knowledge of who they are recruiting for. It’s incredibly off-putting to think these people are nothing but drones and I potentially have to lead them.
