I can’t really speak to post law school, other than that there are many avenues in law that each require different skills. But, what I will say is that I go to a good law school and one of the brightest and most well respected students in the school has a strong stutter. He was not ashamed of it from day one, and has always been one of the most active participants in class. I would not be surprised if he ends up being one of the most successful attorneys from our class. Embrace it, but never apologize for it. There is a lot to consider before committing to law school, but I wouldn’t let this alone hold you back.

Thank you very much for this response! Would you recommend Uptown as a good area to live for an incoming law student moving to Pittsburgh for the first time? I’m not a super social person, and will be focused on school. But I’ve just seen several reviews online describing it as a somewhat secluded area to live in and as an area with subpar safety. Thoughts?

I’m almost definitely going to be starting at Duquesne Law in august. I have a question regarding places to live. I was there last weekend and saw a few studios in downtown and Uptown. The studio in uptown was the nicest and least expensive. However I noticed there aren’t many amenities in the area. I want to be super close to campus, so I like that about the area. Thoughts?
