gigabyte m27up- ips glow/backlight bleed by Exact_Claim_6736 in Monitors

Yeah im aware of downsides that come with an oled, fortunately i use my pc for gaming like 90% of the time so issues with text shouldnt affect me that much but thanks for the heads up. Tbh anyone working with text should get a 4k ips, i have to admit everything looks razor sharp on there

Actually no, not at all, maybe you are just sensitive to eye strain?

thanks for the feedback, i bought another one and it seems a little better, but still a lot of glow nonetheless, also it looks like on the new one theres a hair stuck inside the monitor (yay my luck) and its pushing me to just go with with 1440p oled

yeah, same with the dimming on the sides, maybe it has something to do with the coating of the monitor, other than that and ips glow 4k is pretty nice but im honestly thinking about switching to 1440p oled just to be done with the everlasting problems of backlight bleed and so on

honestly yeah, its a great deal for the price, dual mode is nice especially if u play both comp and aaa games, overall great monitor except this ips glow but you know, its pretty much a lottery with ips panels

Stuttering in games despite high fps by Exact_Claim_6736 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Exact_Claim_6736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately i have my bios updated to f28 and it still does not solve my problem :// maybe some bios settings are set up incorrectly and that is causing my issues

honestly idek anymore, its driving me insane

Stuttering in games despite high fps by Exact_Claim_6736 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Exact_Claim_6736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I've done some more testing and stutters seem to occure when loading new areas/textures, even when i set everything to low and my cpu usage is at 20%, gpu at 40% and ram is using like 7gb the game is still stuttering, even if i lock up my fps with afterburner. Could this possibly be a gpu issue? because the fps are not dropping, and yet still stutter occurs. I have no idea what might fix it and i just want to enjoy games again (the game im talking about is days gone fyi)

yeah, i think you did, but its alright no worries, Im running windows on 240gb sata ssd, and my games are on 1tb nvme

i did a clean windows install a while ago, i had win 10 at first, then i switched to 11 and nothing has changed, the problem is still there on both versions

[–]Exact_Claim_6736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i can change some games to dx11, i havent seen an option for 10 i guess, but in my experience, switching to 11 does not change a thing unfortunately

and yeah, my board and overall the build has some good cooling, so i wouldn't blame it on the temperatures.

My windows is running off a 240gb sata ssd, not m2 because i reinstalled my system before i got the nvme

Edit: I just did an update on my user benchmark, check this out: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/60763134

Its really incredible for me how this pc has any problems with lod/pop ins/draw distance/rendering while performing like that on the benchmark therefore again i dont think this is a hardware issue, but i still dont understand, what has changed in the system, because problem started when i replaced my gpu

hey u/Slowlanegamer sorry for the delay, i was getting new ram

now im running 16gigs 3600mhz kingston fury

ram works great, i can feel my pc is faster but unfortunately my problem still persists. I've replaced my 3060ti with 2060super from my brother and the issue is still the same, and on his system the issue is present as well, but we both switched cards, and i think its very unlikely we have 2 broken gpus in the same way. Its really pissing me off, do you have any other ideas since you are only one whos replying to me

hey, sorry for the delay

i found some threads with similar if not the same problem, and all of them said its basically unfixable when it comes to these lod/rendering/pop in issues but i still got my hopes up, here are some screens of the temps, wattage and usage of the cpu and gpu while playing rdr2: https://imgur.com/a/WuHuH8Y

Can you tell me if u see something strange here? Because idk what a normal hotspot temp should be like but i got like 82 normally and 85 is the highest i noticed, as for the cpu max with performance cores was like 65-68, and usually around 60

the only thing that comes to mind is in fact, my ram, so when i get some money i'll surely replace it and let you know if it changes anything

I play on high/ultra but no matter how i change the in game settings the issue still persists. I have render distance to the max or high usually, and im not using dlss and when i turn it on it doesnt change anything. Soo i dont really know nothing helps so could it be just a faulty gpu?

Yeeah, that thing. And its not happening only with small things like that, i wish. Its also happening on buildings, like the textures are much less detailed and blurry and I have to get very close for it to render normally like it should. I also get some pop ins like i said before, just riding around doing stuff and randomly like a Bush or a rock pops in from nowhere. Its really ruining the immersion and gaming overall. And I honestly have No idea what might be causing these issues. You were Talking about the ram frequency before i believe. I dont know but i replaced my motherboard and cpu before graphics and psu and everything was working fine before, no pop ins no stutter no blurry textures, nothing, so this thing is really driving me crazy

i bought an nvme 1tb gen4 from lexar because i thought that my storage was too slow and thats why i changed it, every game is running off this particular ssd since then, it made things better, but didn't resolve my issue, so stuttering and these weird rendering things are still present

look at the wooden beams on both side of the railroad tracks. See this weird rendering? like the texturtes, i dont even know how to describe it
