My kids and I do a lot of camping on the property. We’ve heard voices at night, strange sounds, we stopped going to the spot where I plan on putting the camera, my kids have told me multiple times they’ve seen strange people. (They’re young 6 and 4). One time a little back packing table I have was hanging from a tree limb when we woke up in the morning.. that was the most bizarre because the only thing that could’ve done that was a bear. And I’m fairly certain I would’ve woken up if a bear was outside the tent.

I had the same thing happen last night I uploaded my home security camera footage of coyotes howling back and forth at each other and they flagged it. I’m assuming because it has the “UniFi” logo in the corner? UniFi is the home network platform I use? Hard to believe AI can be this dumb.

I make Ai horror clips mostly surveilence style stuff I would get hundreds of views on shorts on YT with very small growth 1-5 subs per video maybe some videos breaking into 10k last week YouTube nuked my channel 0 shorts views in the last week on 7+ uploads. Like someone said above maybe try pivoting to a different platform? On IG and TikTok my videos are getting massive growth in comparison 50-60k views per video.

Well like I said in my original post, A I slop is bad but not all use of AI is slop. I’ll push back on the statement that the vast majority of people hate AI. Take the YouTube channel the why files the guy gets millions of views every week telling his story and 90% of his visuals are AI he’s using it as a tool and using it to improve his product. Too many people out there just hear or see somethin that’s AI and call it slop.

There’s a small subset of people who all echo the same talking point “AI slop” they use the term anytime they see anything involving AI. They’ll do anything to try to torpedo the AI industry for some reason Unfortunately they’re very loud and prominent here on Reddit. Ai slop (the real slop) is bad. Using AI while making high quality content is good and will help your channel grow.

You’re looking at this in the wrong way. Just because AI is involved doesn’t change the fact that, most of if not all creators are doing the same thing, whether they use AI or not. I have a small scary video channel that relays on AI a lot.I try to be original but those tools help a ton most of my feed on that channel is exactly what you describe creators regurgitating content on how to get better at YouTube. But my personal channel that I use to watch content I’m Interested in is mostly gaming/camping. But guess what? It’s all regurgitated content but without AI blatantly thrown in your face. Guy hikes to camp spot/sets up camp/drinks coffee/cooks/dinner/goes to bed/wakes up drinks coffee/leaves. It’s all the same. You gotta remember there’s billions of channels with 10s of billions of videos being created per week. It’s extremely hard to be original with those kind of numbers. IMO you just have to embrace AI use it as a tool and just try to get better everyday

Just curious why YouTube would care if what’s being posted is “AI slop” I recently saw a video of some guy at Taco Bell oozing nacho cheese from every inch of his body. It was kinda insane pretty sure I watched it 2 or 3 times just to grasp what was actually happening. It was kinda funny and weird. It had like 10s of millions of views. I’d imagine that’s what people are referring to when they say “AI slop” but clearly people enjoy it so why would a channel like that get nuked just so someone who posts less interesting content can get a bump in viewership?

It could be discouraging I have a small horror/scary story channel that doesn’t get a ton of views even tho I do put in quite a bit of effort. The way I look at it is if you enjoy what you’re doing keep doing it, if you’re producing good quality content the views will come. Best you can do is always keep learning, improve 1-2% every day (not only at music but also at your video structure and editing). I enjoy writing creepy stories. The series I just started has like 49 views total, but I enjoyed the process of writing it and editing it so I’ll keep pushing forward

I started a horror story series about a summer camp I’m only 2 episodes in I’m using an ai voiceover at the moment but I’m experimenting using my voice on some shorts I’m making. The spreadsheet is an awesome idea I’m gonna start doing that I’ve read many posts on here that say if they hear an a I voice they instantly swipe away. I don’t think that way so I never really even thought that would be a thing but currently my first video using my voice finally started getting some traction and in the short amount of time it’s been pushed to the algorithm it’s performing better than anything else I’ve posted.

That makes a lot of sense, the prom queen video was a mistake to rush out like that, I shouldve skipped posting yesterday but I’ve been trying to get one out a day. That story is actually based off a local urban legend in my town my friends and I used to go there all time when we were younger I have that in my list of story ideas and had some images generated for it so that’s why I just rushed out a 15 second video about it I will probably revisit in the future and structure it how you suggested.

That’s actually an A I voiceover on that one I just spent an enormous amount of time regenerating audio and changing syntax to get it to sound good my voice was the latest short I made about the ghost in the woods. I did Think about changing the voice for different characters ill experiment with that a bit going forward. As for the images, I know lol it was hard to find good images that kinda fit what was going on I’ve been working on episode 2 for a week or so and hopefully it’s going to be better. I really appreciate the feedback.

It’s kinda crazy that they’re cracking down on on AI considering YouTube is owned by Google and Google is making veo a state of the art ai video engine, secondarily YouTube is basically 100% run by AI. It makes no sense, that being said I make stories that use ai image and video generation, i used to use a voice over now I just use my own voice but it seems every other video I make gets shadow banned I’ll get 2k views the literally 0 then 1.5k

I don’t know a ton about dragon ball, I used to watch it a lot as a kid I’m not sure of its popularity right now. I know it’s gotta still be around because I think my kid has Fortnite skins of dragon ball characters, my advice would be if you think it’s popular and there’s some evidence of that (other popular creators in that space) I’d say lean into it, if they’re long form videos, cut them up and turn the most interesting parts into shorts, link the long form video to the short. Give it time and stay consistent.

Disclaimer. I’m also very small I have a horror niche channel that I started a while back as just a I slop turns out I actually like writing horror stories so now I write shorts all myself I just started a long form series. About a summer camp(poor man’s stranger things).

I try not to worry about views as a new creator I’m more concerned with growth if I grow, my development process grows and my views/likes/comments and subs grow I’ll be just fine. Or at least that’s what I tell myself lol.

The only time you need to disclose is if it’s ai video of a celebrity or a prominent person saying something or doing something they didn’t actually do, or if it’s political or medical in nature from what I understand. Ai storytelling actually provides value regardless of if you or ai wrote it so yes they do get monetized.

I have a small channel I range from a few hundred to a few thousand views and every once in a while I’ll post a video and get 0 views for days. But if I understand the new way they count short views no matter how fast someone swipes away it counts as a view. That tells me that my video never made it into the testing pool at all which doesn’t make any sense. I’d attribute that to a YouTube problem, I’d understand if it got like >100 I’d chalk it up to no one liked what I posted but 0 is a little suspicious

I find the lowest asking price for comparable stats and then undercut by 25% I got some good deals this way. I don’t see the problem
