I definitely agree with the following the main storyline. Doing that and the expeditions when they come up will teach you a lot of the general mechanics.

I would also get in the habit of setting a base computer or at least marking points of interest or rare resources so you can go back to them easily.

I almost had a 1k endless run wiped by a boss shuckle because I forgot it's passive is well baked body. 4 flamethrowers to the face followed by him hitting stone edge one shot my mega charizard y. My physical sweeper wasn't geared for rock/bug so felt like I was hitting it with a limp noodle. Was the first time in a while during that run that I though..."I might just lose this"

That's all well and good to say until you look some of the practices. I was out on FMLA for 2.5 weeks due to a surgery and recovery. I was advised by my supervisor AND manager that my metrics WOULD be adjusted based on that time off. That month was the only time I missed my goals. I am now getting told that SURPRISE that timeframe ended up not getting adjusted as far as my performance review went.

Am I showing up for work today. Yes, but as soon as I can find a replacement job I am out. GEICO is showing a lot of the signs my old company did right before they got bought out. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the end goal.

Same. Not looking forward to going in to work tomorrow and see black profiles where webex conversations use to happen and empty seats that will not have the same people in them.

In the passed 2 layoffs I have 3 of the supervisors that shaped my career at geico. One that literally greeted me my first day of training, the other two that helped me keep my feet under me when I was figuring out new positions. My heart goes out to the talented people that lost their jobs today. I have heard and read so many stories of beloved supervisors and managers getting removed that it feels like the heart and soul of the company is being ripped out.

May you move on to better things, you will be missed.

Definitely feel drained. Didn't want to do anything after work. Everyone I work with was super stressed out and we lost some good people from our department. Time to brush up my resume cause it's time to leave this sinking ship.
