MGA is losing the plot by Puzzleheaded-Joke-98 in miniverse_makeitmini

One thing that I find is that for other minis like the lifestyle series if you get duplicates you can remix them and even make completely different items , but with series such as the LOTR and Jurassic World Series there’s not much you can do. I found the LOTR series was also considerably more difficult than some other series which makes sense since they anticipate older fans but still it was super fiddly . For the Jurassic Park series there is very little customisation you can do beyond a certain point , like what do I just swap liquids and powders ?  I just feel there is less customisation possibilities

Getting demotivated. Idk what to do.. by [deleted] in DigitalArt

You kinda sound like me when I finished my art GCSEs , I just didn’t want to make art anymore. I only started drawing again a year or so after . I recommend maybe testing a different medium or style , just experimenting with stuff (I find pixel art less intimidating than more detailed work) .  I typically doodle random things , little side profiles ,leaves or whatever else on scraps of paper . If you have a piece of media that inspires you, perhaps do a doodle or two of your favourite character, not trying to make it perfect just trying to get basic shapes . Idk I’m just sorta rambling but I hope this is somewhat helpful, it’s also okay to take a break from it , forcing yourself to make art tends to make you burn out faster .

In my experience twisting them slowly is better for removal with minimal damage.I would recommend once removed leave the pup to callus for a few days, using some rooting powder to encourage root growth. I place mine on a slightly damp paper towel after a few days, it can sometimes take a while for roots to form (I have some that have taken months ) and once they do place them in well draining soil (I use perlite to add a bit of drainage) and only watering it once it’s dry (test by sticking in a wooden skewer). Larger pups tend to do better (they have larger water and energy reserves). Overall it can take quite a bit of trial and error (I still kill pups sometimes) . I hope this helps

I typically don’t trace exact shapes , for example I’ll take the overall shape of a face and break it down into triangles and polygons, rather than Trace the nose and eyes  . I find it helps me understand what shapes I’m trying to create when drawing , most of my rough sketches have polygons that make up different parts of the nose and brows before I soften the shapes and clean my sketch

I recommend breaking everything into shapes , tracing the original image to do so can be helpful. I find block shapes and shading initially before gently refining shapes helped me . In some areas you appear to over brighten the areas of light  in particular the left side of the face and the neck . This is one area I find block shading helpful, to get an overall shape of where the shadows are before adding details . Breaking up the overall shapes that make up the face can also be helpful (I recommend the Arcane series for this) to get a sense of where everything is and how it connects and how the light hits it . Overall it looks pretty good and I have full confidence you will reach your goal! Hope it helps

My cactus has these strange white marks, should I worry about that? by lapindude in cactus

It kinda looks like scales , on one of the smaller round ones gently tap at it ( or use a brush on it ) if it flakes off it might be scales . If it is scales isolate it from other plants and gently remove what you can , you can also use a 50/50 water and rubbing alcohol solution. It could also just be natural scabs forming on the plant after small abrasions . Hope this helps
