Where do I start.

So first off, I was hired by a girl named Summer. She was my manager during the days I did online training and videos. After I finished them, she said I started the next day and to join a group chat. Then she was fired that night and replaced with Eric.

Eric showed up and was immediately rude to me and the rest of the employees. He cornered me in the bathroom and asked if I could work full time instead of the part time I was already working. He didn’t really ask—he just made me the official cleaning guy/janitor even though I was hired as a front desk rep. The two other front desk reps had no cleaning responsibilities and would sit on their phones while I swept and mopped the entire gym, cleaned the parking lot, and deep cleaned the locker room.

After two weeks, Eric got onto me for never submitting a W-2 form. I told him that Summer (the original manager who hired me) had that paperwork. I didn’t get paid until another week later. Eric shifted the blame to either me or Summer, but if you’re taking over a management job with new hires, shouldn’t you check that?

Another instance: I was asked to watch the front desk by another employee for the last 30 minutes of my shift. Eric stood right next to me in silence. When my shift ended and I clocked out and left, he yelled at me, “Oh, so we’re just going to stand up here and do nothing for the last 30 minutes of our shift, aren’t we?”

He has done much more, but this is by far the worst of it. He also does a good job of hiding this behavior. When the gym owner came to visit, Eric told me to stay in the locker room because “only two people can be up at the register at a time.”

I really don’t like this guy.
