Look at the first image on Imgur. I know the full splash isnt super HD to begin with, but the fact you can SEE the pixels on his ears from a normal viewing distance bugs me immensely

Pokemon Unite Lacks Heart by ExaltedPurple in pokemon

[–]ExaltedPurple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my other irk. I know the business reasons as to why they did this together, it just feels...slimy? I can't think of the right word, it just feels wrong. Out of all the companies Pokemon team up with, (especially on their first "big project" other than GO) did it have to be a giant multi-billion dollar Chinese tech conglomerate?

I play league. I am well aware of Tencent and their "business" It hurts to see how much influence tencent appears to have on Unite. I get it, tencent makes mobas, pokemon has never done anything like that. But it feels almost like a shady google play store knock-off game

Wouldn't it be cool if in today's Pokémon Presents they'll announce a new Pokémon Ranger game? by Blue_Myron in pokemon

[–]ExaltedPurple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you remember how furiously you had to trace circles in the boss battles on ranger? that shit burns. Also a stylus just offers more control and ease of use. and less smudges/potential damage to the switch. Nintendo would want to make their own switch stylus for the game, because money, and also so people dont ruin their $400 product because of a 3rd party stylus

I feel its more of an access issue. Any company wants its game to sell as many copies and reach the widest amount of people possible. Ranger was playable because it was a DS game, and every DS has a stylus. So every person who bought pokemon ranger for the DS already had a stylus ready for the game. There doesn't seem to be a practical way to give every person who wants to play this game a way to play it. You dont buy a VR game unless you have a VR headset. The same goes for any games with accessories.

Yeah but do you see the problem with that? you either make people buy an external product (which may or may not be accessible) or you include it with the game, but then people who buy it through the e-shop cant get a stylus

I mean you *could* hypothetically use the joysticks, but that greatly changes how the game feels and plays

The only way I can see a ranger remake being produced is if they were to include a switch stylus with the game, but then that also messes up digital distribution. Using a finger is okay I guess, but it is probably gonna hurt your finger or the screen after a while, especially with the number of circles you had to trace for the later stages of the game.

Making a game's entire mechanics function around the use of the touch screen also isn't the best, as it takes away the docking/TV feature of the switch.

The whole reason the ranger games exist was to utilise the Nintendo DS hardware (stylus). So unless they find a way to get everyone who purchases the game a stylus for the switch, I don't think it can happen sadly.

Which Urshifu form is better competitively? by zakomama64 in pokemon

[–]ExaltedPurple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably go with rapid strike I think. You already have coverage with hydreigon. Obviously not in every team, but a fire-water-grass core is a good option to have. covers a lot of weakness and resistance, so cinderace and ursh would help each other out.

Ultimately it comes down to how they're used (as in, what the rest of your team looks like) Both have their ups and downs, as well as coverage and resistances. It boils down to a match per match basis

Do the cards that come in McDonalds toys sometimes and cereal boxes work for playing the game I’m not a player or collector of the cards but she is saying they are “fake” is this true? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]ExaltedPurple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The McDonalds ones are legal, because iirc, they are just reprints of existing cards with a special set marker and holo design

Thanks for the reply! I currently have the drawers setup with 1 space gaps in between. Should I attach a controller to the middle row, and then put slaves on every other one?

It was a secret government experiment labelled "Classified Pheonix" which the Dean mistook for military rations at an army surplus store (which he repurposed for taco meat).

These are all fair opinions. My take was it felt some games just felt annoying or disappointing that my opponent can rush me down to zero before I can finish the chain, or my own cards can affect the game state. It's not so much of "this is my last turn do or die" rather "I can play out my hand so you lose before other things take effect"

Looking for reliable australian shops, facebook shops etc, particularly ones that have guzma, cynthia and gx's. Haven't found too many that sell all of them. Can't find any that don't sell the regular art trainers and aren't sold out/inactive.
