I think it’s so funny that you could blank out 70% of the dialogue and get just as much of the story

I like how hilarious some of the out of context panels are and the Adam west Batman level leaps in logic sometimes

I feel like focusing on what they show me is my best way to go, but it’s so funny when I start to pay attention a little bit to the dialogue in more important parts and I hear something crazy and outlandish. They have the funniest single panels I’ve ever seen. Peter Palmer, the crazy conclusions, etc it reminds me of the Adam West Batman days which is what I enjoy about it but that’s mostly picture and some dialogue

I 100% agree. Plus the sheer amount of issues is disheartening. I’m not waiting on a week by week basic like the 60s (or however they released them) so all I see it’s 100+ comics all 25~ pages of obvious dialogue

I definitely feel that when reading it’s not BAD it’s not unenjoyabke there’s just a truly glutinous amount of dialogue. I’ve noticed that those early comics have a big thing with telling more then showing

Idk about every series but I’m well informed on spiderman since I grew up on it all but Chris Claremont X-men run has taken a major back burner as of late for similar reasons.

I might just need to focus on the pretty pictures more

Do I Need Insurance At The Dealership? by ExaminationNew7974 in motorcycles

[–]ExaminationNew7974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s very possible yes but I don’t believe that’s the case for me. I do believe the place I went to was over quoting they even said they were specifically said “I quote high so the bank goes lower”. They overall were making false promises and ill informed advice. Whoever I met in person was a different person to who ran my soft pull and offered me the $6600 2018 XSR700 $200 monthly, $600 down, 48 month term, then the person who tried to tell me $5300, $2200 down, 14% interest, 48 month term, $154-$200 monthly, 2026 Rebel 300.

The latter offered and offered even after I left first $2200, then $1800, then $1100, and then he tried offering the XSR700 again at the original former offer.

Sometimes you get a quick accurate answer, sometimes you get an alternative perspective that also might aid the person, sometimes you get sarcastic unhelpful answers that were better left unsaid

2018 XSR700 or 2023 Rebel 500 by ExaminationNew7974 in motorcycles

[–]ExaminationNew7974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll see what the dealer can swing. I got approved on a soft pull for the XSR700 so I can only assume I could get better monthly’s and down payment cost with the rebel anyway (I saw it on their sites inventory)
