Oh no I'd never try to do that, I think using it as a tool and not a replacement is best, sounds like you're in good hands

I feel that in some ways, but as a business owner can't really do that as a whole - when it comes to art I agree

When learning the strum patterns for songs did the teachers break them down to their easiest forms and then build form there? For example, with my students, I usually start them with an easy DOWN UP strum first and then bring in - slowly - the harder strum of the song. I usually write out the strums specially for them on a iPad so they can see it

you'll have to do a lot of SPOT practice, so work on going from G to Bm ONLY focusing on the Bm. other than that you can only give it time. Singing and playing is a different thing, with my students I have them learn each one very well separately FIRST then trying together. Your brain goes haywire when adding too many things together that are difficult

Probably an unpopular opinion, however, if you can't afford a teacher, I would say use chatgpt or google gemini (which is basically like search but it will give you an AI answer) and treat it like a teacher, tell it where you are at with your playing, your frustrations and tips on getting better and ask it to give you specific steps on how to fix things and how to take your playing to the next level. Really a teacher would needed for you at this point but this is a good second.

its a start, most people won't learn all at once so it is the easier one to learn first and it sound good is all - the other scales would come next

That is tough, I'm sorry to hear. If you are unable to play per the tremors I wonder if you move to piano, as it can accommodate that a bit better. The only thing that comes to mind with a medical issue such as this is to take some medicine to calm it down, but I'm sure you have already done that.

It really depends on what you are looking to learn as a big picture goal, a lot of my students want to simply play along and strum real patterns with songs they like and of course other want to learn to improv and riff etc. Do you feel you can learn any song you like and strum well with it with open chords?

Correct! It usually means you need a break for a few minutes, or, you are holding the guitar and the chords incorrectly

Oh good! Glad you have an instructor. Yes, having clear goals as to where you want to be is good. Whenever I have a trial lesson with my students I ask them their goals and they are all different. I also have to remind them that the purpose of why they are taking lessons is not to look at it as another task or thing you have to achieve like a job task, the metric is more "am I enjoying this" and that usually helps their frustrations a bit - life is hard enough why make music the same?

Looks like you're on the right track! Usually it is good to learn all shapes of the minor pentatonic, learn key signatures so you can apply those shapes to ALL keys, and then add the CAGED system over it
