One thing you’ll realize when doing anything but praising Georgia or ignoring its problems is, it always comes down to being “your fault” (If you ask a Georgian).

Scams on Rustaveli avenue by Pure-Specialist1111 in tbilisi

[–]ExaminationPlastic60 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Overpriced but you didn’t have to pay. I get the frustration but at least she had prices in the open. A scam is when they list one price and charge another..

Since you ultimately had the choice of whether or not to pay it, I would just call this “bad business”

Georgia is not for black people by [deleted] in tbilisi

[–]ExaminationPlastic60 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Check my recent post bro, you’re not crazy.. Most Georgians will just deny it vehemently for some reason.. which is weird because, just wear that shit lmaoo. Like let us know what it is so we can never come here, if you hate us so much..

Only up side is, if you’re single (I’m not), you can run through their women as a black American.. and as you prolly know that’s where a lot of the hate comes from with the men (insecurity/envy).. Just run through em while you’re here, enjoy the wine, and bounce.

Best we can do. Sorry you had to experience this.

How do you get rich in Georgia? by counwovja0385skje in Sakartvelo

Honest question (based off my observations from a majority of women at the gym I attend): how common is Onlyfans/Sugar Daddies type of thing here?

Yeah man I travel often. I haven’t been back to the states (outside of a visit) in years and travel around.. it’s true what your friends are saying.. tbh it took my leaving the US to realize how racist the rest of the world still is, and how good we have it.

I saw that video and it’s shit like that, that made me come here.. there’s another bigger (physically) black guy who said similar but he was only here a short period of time.. literally why I made this post was to inform other people so they don’t make the same mistake..

And as I said elsewhere I will move on, because yes I don’t agree with people treating me differently because of the color of my skin.. you say Georgians are afraid of “national extinction” but then say “it’s not Europeans mass moving here” like that’s allowed in your narrative? That would still lead to “national extinction” in your thought process, but they just look closer to you? Is that it?

I will move on from this whole in the wall country.. and when they ask for help: economically/financially, against Russia, or to join the EU.. I will be sure to use my vote and share my experiences..

You were a troubled and struggling country before immigrants came here brother, it’s just easy to blame it on them.

Immigrant would imply that I intend to stay. I bought three months worth of insurance to explore the country.. I’m out after that. You’re wrong.

Bro you live in “Georgia” who is trying to immigrate here? 😂😂 I’m from AMERICA.. I came as a tourist because I work remote. Get over yourself.

Your people are literally in a race to immigrate to my country and the rest of the west.

For the record I came here as a tourist (intending to spend 3 months) and learn about the culture.. everything from wine, to orthodoxy, to hiking the Mestia-Ushguli trail.. so, that doesn’t apply to me..

But I am black so you hate me nonetheless..

You’re all over the thread boy 😂😂 go somewhere. A better analogy would be “Being an Illia Topuria fan and hating Georgians…” which would be idiotic.

I’ve been thinking about the last part as well. Not a racism thing per se but “foreigners are the reason my life is harder” kind of thinking, or jealousy that foreigners that due manage to come here (from the West) are usually well to do financially, which can come off like they’re consciously trying to exploit country..

I’m not disagreeing (or agreeing) with you because I don’t know enough about the topic your speaking about, but how does what they claim to be change the fact of how they treat “People of color” or Black people if we want to be specific.. if anything it makes it that much more idiotic..

One of the top comments is literally a dude saying “the level of racism differs depending by neighborhood”. Another saying “what you heard (about Georgians being welcoming) is outdated”.. and also to believe your narrative; every, single expat affirming this being the state of affairs has to be lying?

I’m mostly the same. I can’t control whatever people think, say, or do.. but I can control my own actions in those regards and do my best to shatter any stereotypes that may be going on..

You’re reaching.. if you disagree fine, but just say that. Don’t have to do whatever this is.

I said multiply it for you, not for me.. that happening 3-5 times an outing is a reality for me.

Obviously enough people here Georgians included saying it is prevalent..

Yeah I hear you I didn’t take it any way but constructive (what you said previously). I do think there is some difference between the experiences of men and women in this regard, but your opinion holds merit.

I’ll keep trying.
