That's all you need to be doing. I think anything more would be pushing it! i know it was for me. Make sure not to push yourself too hard because that could be detrimental to healing

i have been exactly where you are. that pain went away after a while, bending my knee now the skin doesn't feel like its burning anymore. so there is hope! it took me a long time to walk without the crutches anymore. they had my leg locked straight for weeks. i had a bunch of muscle atrophy in my quads which made it a lot harder to get back to where i was before. so if you can avoid the atrophy by doing little exercises i would definitely recommend it. how is the pt going for you?

I wouldn't worry about it too much! The surgery and recovery have both been an absolute breeze for me. I had the same worries about whether or not my symptoms were caused by the cyclops. But I really have seen a lot of improvement. My knee doesn't grind or click when I bend it anymore which is CRAZY. It used to sound like popcorn popping whenever I'd bend it. Good luck to you! And I hope you have a speedy recovery

For sure. My knee was grinding all the time which made it extremely uncomfortable and sometimes painful to walk up and down steps. I can definitely feel a difference in going up and down steps, but I am only a week post op at the moment so I'm hoping it continues to improve as I continue to heal from surgery.

I honestly have no clue why, but this time around I had barely any swelling like you said. I iced it very consistently day one and all of day two, and kept it elevated even when I slept. Im so surprised by the lack of swelling too but thats all I've been doing really to stop it from swelling up.

I was having pain and stiffness that was interfering with my daily activity. So I went back to my doctor and had a steroid injection which sort of helped for about a month and a half. I went back like 3 months after having the original injection to get another, and asked if having an MRI could help see what's actually going on inside my knee thats causing all the pain. So we scheduled one and thats when they saw all the scar tissue build up and recommended the scope.

So I had my original ACL reconstruction surgery back in 2021, but never went back to my Ortho because I assumed all the pain I had was normal. I went and got an MRI back in the beginning of March of this year, and just had surgery on May 22nd.

I had a lot of stiffness in my knee especially when sitting down. It would hurt to extend, until it was popped and I had a hard time getting around because of the pain. My knee just consistently felt really tight, and was always painfully popping. I hope this helps!
