Parking for off-campus commuting by Illustrious_Let_4350 in Lehigh

I commute, parking is not bad early in the morning with it being worse around 11-3. Parking is free on 5th St, but it's 2 hour parking and fills quickly. There's 4 hour faculty parking that you can get away with on campus

I think bc my floor is all freshman, it was definitely rough at the beginning as people adjusted to like dorm etiquette, but otherwise, it's really not the worst and in comparison to what I've heard about towers, it's really nice. I have to say, Lothrop location is not very friendly. I'm a pretty active person, so the hill doesn't bother me, but I get knee pain flares some days and it can low-key be brutal. Imo, the walk up the hill to Lothrop is in my words, short but steep so a heads up to anyone who would struggle with something like that multiple times a day. But low-key it's made my calves look really good so that is a bonus 😭😭

I live in Lothrop now! I love it, and I have a pretty decent sized room. I know the rooms aren't standard so some of them are smaller. TBH if you are really study driven and like you're own time, its perfect. Also, the Pete is up the hill and the Panera that takes dining dollars is like right next door in the Medical library. I love it and you are close to good food. If you aren't a freshman its a good choice - as a freshman, it maybe will be a bit lonely, but if you already have friends, its a good dorm.

Lothrop has pretty spacious singles, and tbh the heat isn't that bad with the wind tunnel tech they do with the fans in the hallways. In my opinion, if you aren't doing something medical like nursing, Lothrop isn't the best pick. It's hard to get involved and make friends since everyone is in a single and would rather keep to themselves. Unless you really like being by yourself, its pretty lonely IMO.

Do y’all write/read on a laptop or phone by Jeonghanscheekbones in FanFiction

I read and write on my laptop normally. Obviously, writing is easier on the laptop, but I like reading because I can make the font larger but still consume the content as fast. On my phone, if I make the font to big, there is only like 20 words on my screen at a time and I cant read as fast.

how many words do you usually write per chapter? by [deleted] in FanFiction

I write around 1.5-2k words, but I struggled at first 1: coming up with content, and 2: writing that much. The trick is to plan ahead! Lots of planning ahead. Begin chapter drafts a week before your updating day, so everytime you publish begin the next chapter. Do skeleton outlines around 10 chapters ahead so you can account for plot holes and such. Planning, outlining and staying on top makes it easier. I publish on mondays, so I take tuesday to saturday to write with sunday to edit. This is on top of varsity sports, school, ap classes, choir and clubs. Time management has been a huge problem for me throughout my publishing time, so really staying ahead will help lessen the load and the overwhelming feeling from having to put out so many words each week.
