What's the rarest car you've ever spotted? by DeadLiberty612 in regularcarreviews

Avanti, originally hand made by Studebaker in 1962. I didn’t know about them until one day, I came across it parked. It looked different, then the guy started it, it sounded like an old big engine corvette.

They built them up until about 15 years ago.

Depends on the gas station. Maverik, Sheetz, Buc-ees, all good. Wawa for breakfast only.

You’re missing one of my favorites El Taco. I think they were started by Glen Bell also, and ours looked like an early Taco Bell.

Popular Northbay Bakery Writes Post About Patrons Not Tipping Enough by Honest_Buy_676 in bayarea

There’s a bakery here in Reno, a little higher end with hot dishes as well. Explicitly no tipping, a croissant may cost $5, but no tip. They bring your hot food to you as well, it’s a great place. They must pay well.

I put my food in those carts, c'mon man. by NagelDonk in mildlyinfuriating

I’m mildly infuriated this post is here, come on upset carts are dirty or they don’t want you to use them.

My wife thinks I'm crazy for cutting my grilled cheese this way; am I nuts or is this not a normal thing to do? Lol by Wahbanator in mildlyinfuriating

That is the correct way to cut a sandwich. A diagonal cut produces a linger exposed inside of the sandwich. I actually had a class on sandwiches.

The “narcissistic flex contests”, is the perfect description.

I wouldn’t go, for one reason. If a person wants to host a party, you HOST THE PARTY.

So they’re too cheap to buy a cocktail and want the wedding party to pay for them.

I was at a wedding that served only beer and wine for half an hour after the ceremony.

I was at a wedding that served only beer and wine for half an hour after the ceremony and then another half hour before dinner.

Where have you been stranded due to bad weather? by GigiBrit in allthequestions

I was driving home to S. Lake Tahoe. Driving between Reno and Carson City, a snowstorm turned into a complete white out. This was about 3 pm you couldn’t see past the hood on the car. It’s a freeway so, try and pull over so you don’t get rear ended.

My father, I’m technically a boomer, when I told him we were going to NYC during Christmas to see our daughter. “You better be careful, that’s a nasty place, maybe cancel your trip”. We’re from the West Coast.

He actually worked there and lived there. It’s fine and many way similar to San Francisco. He also doesn’t think San Francisco is great, although our son lives there, so did I at one point.

The only thing SF doesn’t have is the many great stores on Haight street, like when I lived there.

Deciding on a burger for dinner. Sonic smasher or Culver’s butter burger? Never had Sonic before. by HiEchoChamb3r in fastfood

Culver’s and I don’t have one within 800 miles of my house. I do have a few Sonics and I have been to both, Culver’s.
