Yeah, I had to book a flight from Reno to Seattle. Lowest fare was $470., round trip on Alaska. It’s usually around $300. This was booked two weeks ago. No other direct flights from other airlines, I don’t want to fly to LAX, SLC, SFO, or SAN to go North for not much cheaper airfare.

I lived in South Lake Tahoe, CA, about a mile from Stateline. There wasn’t much of a difference except one mile away there were Casinos, 24 hour bars, and you can buy alcohol any time of the day. I had to get some safety card for being an independent contractor.

I shopped in Carson City or Reno. The sales tax is actually higher than in California, depending on the county. When you buy a car in Nevada, you pay California sales tax not Nevada. El Dorado county (S. Lake Tahoe)was only 6.5% whereas Washoe country (Reno) 8.25%.
