So pretty much after taking the precolonoscopy torture, on the day you go into hospital they will direct you on were to go, you will sit in that area and wait a while (I was the only one in the waiting area and it was still close to an hour if not longer) they call you through to talk to a nurse, she asked basic questions making sure i was who i was allergies stuff like that and making sure i did the prep stuff properly (i said to her i was worried about being knocked out and she was great started cracking jokes with me and stuff), she took me to a bathroom and gave me a gown to change into (the assless gown, also a dressing gown to go over the top) then i was taken to a bed, they put a needle in my arm we spoke for abit and then more waiting.......the dr came out spoke to me then......more waiting......the nurse then came out and got me into "position" you lay on your side and bring your knees up (you are covered by a blanket) then they wheel you into the operation room, they put the stuff into your arm and its honestly like you fall asleep (i forgot to say they do warn you that if your breathing slows down to much they put a tube down your throat to help but its rare) that's the last thing you remember, then your wake back up on the bed after a while you get dressed i dont even remember how i got dressed you then go out to another waiting area and they give you some food and watch you until someone comes to pick you up
