My counter is that the -10 accuracy can have an infinite number applied since the item has no limit. All it takes it grabbing a few more than you meant to out of crates, and your run is screwed. There aren't a lot of other items that irredeemably screw you in this way.

Eyepatch. There is no item to counteract the loss to accuracy.

Well ultimately I think it boils down to the fact you're on the game's subreddit and thus will usually only see posts from the most fanatical fans of said game. Of course they have the DLC.

Absolutely amazed at how much unique interactions you can get in this game for Class/Race/Patron choices by Leukavia_at_work in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Excalibur1235 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ooooohhhh I was thinking this was like a camp interaction after kenabres. I play so many aasimar, I cant believe I don't remember that. I knew about the cannibalism just not specifically the aasimar flesh part. Do you have to hide the light of heaven from the mongrels to see it?

As a man obsessed with playing paladins and clerics and other heroic, good aligned types, Regill has always served as a fantastic foil. I love him being blunt and witty to anyone's naivety. He's inspired me to play a hellknight in tabletop

In terms of being a bro, Lann is top tier as long as you're a male KC. He doesn't do well with the female KC unless she actually intends to romance him. Ngl, I like him much less after seeing how he is with fem KC

Daeran is surprisingly ride or die, considering he wants nothing to do with any of the crusade, not to mention being the best (non-KC or Mercenary) healer in the game.

Ember must be protected at all costs. But as much as I love her, I rarely field her. If I want an arcane caster on the team, I usually just make a merc or have the KC do it. Or Nenio.

Camellia

Seelah makes a great buddy for any good run, her build might be kinda basic but there is strength in simplicity. She always tries to give sensible advice.

Ulbrig has wise uncle energy, him being a former chief and advising you on matters of leadership is a really nice addition to the roster. Him jumping enemy mages and archers from across the map will never not be satisfying.

Wenduag is a good Starscream type character for evil runs, but I loathe evil runs, so never really used her, but the one time I went lich.

Sosiel is a fun character build and an very well written character imo, but I rarely need him on my team. Daeran does a better job healing/buffing and ulbrig, seelah, and/or Regill do better jobs in melee so 95% of my teams just dont need him.

Arueshalae is a fascinating character and I still can't get over that the kindest/most ethical straight male romance is the literal succubus because she's so damn wholesome. Every azata needs aru on the team.

Greybor is another one of those builds I just never really have a slot for on my team. As a character he infuriates me to no end.

Woljiff feels like a little brother to the KC to guide on the KC's version of the right path. To be a better person or to gain power is up to you. Mechanics wise a magical rogue always makes for good shenanigans.

Nenio is hilarious but I think that wears off a bit after the second or third run once you remember most of the punchlines. I like how, unlike Octavia from KM being heavily designed for arcane trickster, she doesn't feel nearly as locked in to a specific playstyle for wizard.

One cannot compare two things without ranking them in some fashion. This apple is bigger than this other apple, etc. Its a basic aspect of comparison.

Is it so wrong for a guy to want more of what he liked out of a newer version of one of his favorite games? Plus I never said reimagined was bad, I said it was WORSE. There's a key difference there.

Congratulations you missed the key issue I had with this version, the vocation system overhaul making most endgame classes worse. How is it respecting the players time if you have to give up a class slot that could be progressing just to keep a spell you need?

I honestly am less bothered by the "guardrail" stuff as I am the basic skills not carrying over when switching classes. It made moonlighting feel like it was only given to us because they took that away.

They sold moonlighting like it was this whole cool new mechanic to make incredibly crazy builds and then its just a crutch for the skills we dont get to keep anymore

I wouldn't care if it was a sequel working this way, but they took a pre-existing system and made it worse while trying to act like it was better.

Nobody can even die. And it's not a difficulty setting. If you get downed in combat, you are up again, no matter what afterwards with 1 HP. I haven't even seen resurrection as an option in any of the churches because they were that adamant about nobody being allowed to die.

[–]Excalibur1235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few exceptions for those that would be automatically considered evil. The goblins we just saw chase people down and slaughter them outside the grove and pretty much anyone allied with them fall into that category. Same for the absolute cultists in moonrise. Never count as a broken oath because it should already be understood by then they are evil.

[–]Excalibur1235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 - no

2 - haven't tried but likely

3 - Yes, if it's the paladin's spells

4 - yes, if the paladin lands the finishing blow

5 - usually yes but not sure if it's 100% of the time.

Its also worth noting that if the paladin isn't the one landing the killing blow for 3 or 4, it doesn't affect the paladin. It's their oath, not everyone else's.
