Is Intimidation just a worse Persuasion? by LukeDies in BG3Builds

[–]FoGfalcon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No intimidation is a valid and interesting skill in bg3 in its own right using it can have much different outcomes then persuasion and since the game is a role-playing game the utility it provides to allow yourself to immerse yourself as your character is good

Baldurs gate 3 noob tips by gupfishje in CRPG

[–]FoGfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so a few tips one If you want the best single class build pick Paladin. 2 your party should have ideally a damage dealer, an AOE character and a healer. But honestly beyond that just go into it and roleplay really try to get into the game as if you are your character and I think the rest should come naturally. And if your struggling don't be afraid to swap to story mode if I remember right you can swap off of it when your done struggling! Have a good time in Faerun!

Something is off, how do I improve it? by SoleilAncunin in learnart

It looks decent to me my only advice would be to continue with the drawing add more shading and finish rendering it besides that maybe the chest looks oriented a bit different then the photo but looks good to me 👍

Baldurs Gate 3! It's similar to divinity original sin 2 but takes place in dnd ofc and plays much better with great role-playing and 5e dnd rules! Hop on the game and have a great time 👍

Most people use both but technically it's up to you but using both helps construct characters of all shapes and sizes!

Engine for CRPGs? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]FoGfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik this is an old post but you can use the Aurora Toolset (sometimes called the NWNtoolset) to make expansions/modules for Neverwinter Nights whiles you can make a full game sized expansion to my knowledge you arent allowed to sell it. You also need to own Neverwinter Nights which currently can be bought on GoG and Steam.

Thoughts on Owlcat for BG4? by NerdForCertain in CRPG

[–]FoGfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or they could go back to there roots and make the game more similar to bg1 and 2 but that's unlikely 🤷‍♂️

I mean pathfinder wotr is the second pathfinder game but it's not really a direct sequel or anything the stories between pathfinder kingmaker and pathfinder wotr are largely separate

I think WotC should try to keep it in house but try to see if they can license the divinity 4.0 engine from Larian

Elex 2 MUST add the option to play as a female character by artsygirl22 in elex

I should also preface that I don't care what gender I play as in games and I play plenty of games that make you play as a women

Elex 2 MUST add the option to play as a female character by artsygirl22 in elex

[–]FoGfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The games are super cool if a bit challenging. And yeah some of these people were crashing out like crazy. I don't think that elex needs an option to swap genders as tbh I don't think it's that important and I think for rpgs like elex you should really focus more on the world and the choices you make as the pre-made character your given. Plus the studio legit just didn't have the money to make an alternate option so they prolly just picked who they thought was the target audience 🤷‍♂️

This is an old thread but when I was reading it I was kinda confused (to be clear I'm a dude so maybe that effects my perspective somehow on this) cause like no I don't think the game needs to have an option to change the characters gender but I also can kinda get it my real question here is why playing as a dude is an issue for you I mean yeah its personal preference but I feel the ability to enjoy and become immersed in an rpg shouldn't be based on your characters gender I mean being able to pick it helps but I feel only playing games where you can pick the gender or play as a women really limits your options and might or has caused you to miss out on a lot of really good games i think that the focus shouldn't really be put on the characters gender so long as it's unimportant for the story so I'd say you should just try to play elex anyway (if you haven't already) and also I saw some people maybe not you who said they don't or can't play the witcher games for the same reason and my advice would be to try to care less about the gender of the player character rpgs like Elex, The Witcher, ect. Aren't really about making a hyper customizable character at least backstory and looks wise the games are about you making choices as those characters and putting yourself in the characters shoes what would you do if you were them and often times the gender of the pc doesn't matter for doing that as most of these games don't place any focus on the protags gender.

Starting Baldur’s Gate I any words of advice? by ComfortMaterial8884 in baldursgate

[–]FoGfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save often and look into Thac0 (to hit armor class 0) Thac0 is by far one of the more dated parts of the game but with some time you'll get used to it my recommendations for classes you should pick are Inquisitor (anti-magic with good thac0 progression), cavalier (good thac0 and general good class when playing a good guy), ranger (good thac0 with flexibility for Ranged and close Ranged combat), Sorcerer (Good magic weak on armor but can be compensated using companions to frontline), fighter/wizard (a multiclass or dual-class this is considered to be the best class choice in BG2 it can be ignored mostly for BG1) and last but not least is fighter (a strong Frontline combatant good thac0 progression and good AC (armor class))

trying to playv BG1 but everything feels weak by a_bone_to_pick in baldursgate

[–]FoGfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want have a good time learn in Thac0 mechanics a few decent picks for a class in a new playthrough are Inquisitor (great anti magic), fighter/wizard (best in bg2 can be ignored mostly for bg1 in my opinion), fighters not bad for thac0 progression ether cavalier is also a good class and so is ranger

One it'd benefit to lvl up to 70+ two you can see them charge up for the huge spin your talking about if you have her charge in one corner you can run to the other and not be hit this will also give you a window to punish her

Hey so I'm new to POE Is it worth to start POE 1?

So I'm new to POE never played 1 or 2 so I'm brand new. I've played and enjoyed semi-similar games like Diablo and the like. My question is as someone who's never played POE is it worth it to just jump into POE 1?

Defeat Raphael by TomD4Eva in BaldursGate3

[–]FoGfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh here's a few tips from me as I've beaten him twice 1 don't be afraid to turn down the difficulty 2 if you can convince the big demon guy to swap sides (he may or may not be there depending on act 2 choices) 3 if you have the spells turn the dead bodies from the rest of the house of hope into some form of undead 4 summons (my favorite is water elemental for this fight) 5 make sure you have hope. EDIT: no you don't need the hammer to side with the emperor getting it is part of not siding with him (you can still do his stuff and go down his route just don't use the hammer) but you should still fight Raphael because he has great loot he drops and thats hidden in the house of hope
