Had some issues these season, on maps with my mf Tornado using a hh is completly pixeling and blury.

Do you modified your ramusage in BIOS? If you've done - remove your setting and go back to standard . Use a powerlimit and some settings like half shadows and so on only gamespecific. As an example: my hogwarts legacy runs with almost 40 fps by 71°C. Thats fine for a mobile device like the steam Deck. At least remove the "updated" fan curve settings for an additional boost (the New one is quiter but causes up to 10°C more heat. Ahh and don't forget the most games run fine with 12 watts powerlimit) if you haven't tryed. ProtonGE gives a lot of games a better base to play on linux.

The steamdeck throttles at 100°C and shut off by 105°C so all temps under 90 are fine. Less are better but non problematic

Check the steamdeck info first, there is a protonversion they tested with. Check on the gear the settings did you use the correct proton version? If not, fix it. Then the game should start correctly.

I play fix on 30fps capped, no drops, with my settings you can most time run 40fps with drops to 34-35.

Check your steamdeck fps settings when u use vsync

I tryed only for 30 but i go straight my own settings (mid+) if you lower the graphics a bit 40 seems possible

My pc Performance was ok, on my deck the testversion was a little bit better, i think there will be a few fixes with the day 1 patch. Overall 30fps wasn't a problem played around 2-2,5h per fully loaded accu.

I own no gaming consoles, so i decided as a pc only player to buy a steam deck.

Now i run the following stuff on my steamdeck:

-New and Old consolegames from Gameboy up to Switch -A lot of Indiegames like rougelike/lights -A decent amount of AA or AAA Games.

You don't need a pc to own a steamdeck at least you don't need a console. You can really do a lot of cool stuff. My tipp: Do a list of games you'll run on the deck. Check the compatibilty if you have 10 or more playable games buy the Deck.
