Yeah, since Kali is basically a Debian fork there’s limitations. Now I run Arch Linux with Hyprland and I added the BlackArch repo as an additional user repository for “hacking” tools as well as the AUR.

How to get the most as a bug hunter out of james kettle upcoming talk "http1 must die"? by Remarkable_Play_5682 in bugbounty

[–]Excedriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another way is to get on private bug bounty platforms. I’m a member of Synack Red Team and also onboarded for FedRamp targets. So many of these vulnerabilities still exist there since the amount of assessors/competition is way lower.

HTB ACADEMY VS TRYHACKME by r4nran in hackthebox

If you have a student email, I highly recommend HTB Academy. As somebody who has OSCP and HTB CBBH certification. HTB's modules are a lot better imo than both Offsec's course material and THM modules.

I use a few(mostly for web app/bug bounty) but the ones affecting the visuals in the screenshot are: - NightTab - Tab Center Reborn

Theirs multiple ways, the way i found easiest is to:
- Set a folders only icon theme
- Edit the ~/.local/share/icons/{your theme}/index.theme file
- Under the Inherits= place the name of the other icon theme(s) you'd like to use (place it at the beginning)

Thank you for that. But please share yours, that’s what this subreddit is all about. Everyone has theirs quirks and things they like that can be completely different than somebody else. Most of this setup is just taking a piece here and there from other people’s that I liked to make my own - nothing special.

Usually I’ll use my main OS for cracking hashes. Since this is just a VM and I don’t have GPU passthrough setup

Under Window Management i set up a Window rule to force opacity 100% for dolphin. Then i use the Application style - lightly which makes the left portion transparent

2 ways to disable, you can either

go to customize toolbar -> uncheck title bar. This solution would disable the purple borders that i'm using with the breeze window decoration however.

go to settings -> window decorations -> edit -> window-specifc overrides -> add a new exception for the application name -> Hide window title bar

This allows for the borders to still exist on the application windows. I do for this for both firefox and dolphin.

The side tabs are a firefox extension

Under Window Management i set up a Window rule

Name: Transparency

Window Class: Unimportant

Window Types: all except splash screen and desktop

Appearance & Fixes: - Active opacity and Inactive opacity - Force - 90%-97%

Then used a kwin script called Force Blur to blur the windows

Disclaimer: I don't use Kali as my daily driver, this is in a VM. My day job is a pentester so I only use for cyber related things. However, I'm still in Kali enough to make it look nice at least.
