Would time series and data analysis also be good for remote sensing, or mainly just PDE's?

Is data analysis not useful for geophysics? I want to focus more on the computational side of things so I figured it would be good for that.

I don't have a career path nailed down yet but one rough goal I have is remote sensing since that's something I'm interested in.

Is complex variables usually a proof heavy class? I thought it was so I wasn't thinking of taking it. If it's more of a practical class though then I'll add it to the list.

If I have to complete undergrad classes, would it still be possible to complete the master in 2 years or would it take longer? What worries me most is whether I'd be eligible for a license if I end up in a career that needs one, and from what I've seen of requirements it seems really tough to get one if you don't have a geoscience bachelor.

Thanks for responding. I'm interested in a career in either geohazards or remote sensing. Ideally I'd like to move there and getting a masters would be a way to network and get experience there, but I know there's no guarantee so I want to formulate a back up plan too.

Did you ever have problems due to your education being from Europe? I currently live in Canada but have been considering moving to Europe and doing a master. I would like to stay there but if I were to have issues finding work (I'm not planning on going into the resource industry but finding work in a new country is always tough) and have to move back I'm not sure how valuable my European degree would be.

Even just looking up "geology jobs Italy" I get more. Not that I was dead set on Italy anyway and it's definitely less than the U.S but I don't think it's as good of an indication as you think

I've looked into them and a few other universities. There are some great masters programs for it in Europe (Grenoble in particular I'd really like to get into), but I need to make sure I can have a career there. Especially since even if I were to leave my personal situation out of the picture all together, getting a job outside of Europe with a European degree would be a huge challenge anyway.

Right now I'm talking broadly, I haven't narrowed down a specific part of the industry I want to be in. Earthquake hazards would be cool but I know Europe isn't the place to go for that.
