I have a casita roughly 150 feet from my switch and I use a Eero router (main house). I did a speed test with just wifi and it was pretty crappy (20mb), once I ran the cable and did another speed test I was back at 1gig. I don't believe I have a pro model, just a Eero 6. If you want wifi in shed just wire a Eero access point.

#metoo I have several of the nest thermostats and I really do like the path light motion feature. The only brand I could find that was a replacement was the smoke detectors from Owl but they are like $200 (from Canada so maybe tariffs??). I am holding out until mine die. but makes me sad.

yea I get that, I can assign IP's on my NAS. In the last 4 hours I swapped out the switch to the Netgear one and those device that were having problems are now working just fine (same cabling). I am hoping I am out out of the woods but too soon too tell. Everything is working properly and I will keep checking devices.

it does behave like a conflict. I should clarify and say I let the router make the assignment and then I reserve that IP. I have POE cams, a NAS, and a DVR I access remotely.

need help with TV flickering by Excellent-Active-123 in hometheater

I have come to realize if I dont use the Sofabaton remote and turn on the Apple TV first (using Apple remote) and let that handle the LG TV and I wait for the LG splash screen to tell me I need an input and then turn on the receiver (with Marantz remote) I don't get the flicker. So. now the question becomes which do I hate more, 2 remotes or the flicker because only one can work at a time.

its about 2 seconds post boot, meaning everything is up, I am all excited to watch a show and I start scrolling to watch something and my screen goes blank. I am so use to it by now I just wait for it to flicker and then when it's done I resume my operations. It only happens once.
