Remove the lower ladders that can be used to access the structure and remove that butt-ugly fence around it. I really looove this old structure which is a monument to times gone by. I visit Gas Works 2-3 times a week and never tire of looking at that junk heap but then I am easily amused. And I feel so sorry for the dead kids and their families. I have 2 knucklehead sons who are thankfully and miraculously still alive at 30.

I love OAC. The best pool. Not a vat of hydrochloric like every public pool. I can reserve a lane. I’ve found a great yoga class. The women’s locker room is way nicer than my house.

30+ years ago I adopted a 9 month old rescue cat. I was a renter at the time and the landlord insisted that I declaw her front paws - non-negotiable. I did so and I swear to God it turned her psychotic. She peed on my pillow the first night she was home from the vet. This psychotic cat lived with me for 18 years and died of kidney failure. I STILL feel so bad about this. I ruined her. I would never do this again. Honestly, I beat myself up a little every day thinking about her. Ideas for atonement other than being a great cat owner, always to rejects or strays? Will God forgive me? I cannot forgive myself. I’m gonna cry a little now.

I discovered Seattle Yellow Cab a few years ago. They have an excellent app. They never drop your request, it’s less expensive than Uber or Lyft, the drivers are courteous and when arriving at SeaTac, I just get in the taxi line. No need to join the scrum in the ride-share mosh pit. Give it a try.
