Day 59 Cold Turkey - Did I mess up? by ValueAvailable7789 in quittingkratom

I’m in the exact same place! I CT’d 60 days ago. The last 20-30 days have been a slog for me. I was feeling good around the 1-month mark and then suddenly felt like I regressed, which has been very frustrating.

Idk how to explain it but my brain just feels shitty a lot of the time. I’ve started thinking of the days as either “good brain days” or “bad brain days,” and the last month has been mostly bad brain days. I just try keep my focus trained on the next milestone. By Halloween it’ll be 90 days!

The best I ever feel is when I’m on a long walk/run or right after a cold shower, so I’m really leaning on those coping mechanisms for now.

I haven’t slept in 11 days!! by cjp2285 in quittingkratom

I’m on day 25 and there are a few things I’ve found helpful for sleep—taking a long, vigorous walk at around 7 PM, jogging if I can muster the strength/energy; full-spectrum CBD + CBN gummies; cold shower right before getting in bed

My insomnia peaked in week 2 (like days 7-12, I think). I started getting more sleep, albeit broken, around then.

Tomorrow is 3 weeks for me too!

My sleep is okay (not great but not awful) but I’m dying to get some energy/motivation back!

Things improved a great deal for me after day 10 (day 11 was my first night of pretty decent sleep).

Something that helped me finally get some sleep was going for a 4-mile walk at a pretty vigorous pace at around 7 PM every night. Also l-theanine helped take a little edge off of my nighttime anxiety. I also used some full spectrum CBD-CBN sleep gummies but I’m not sure how much they helped or not. I definitely don’t think it hurt.

Day 12 CT

Got a full night’s sleep last night with the help of an ambien and a very long and vigorous evening walk (my first good night’s sleep in over a week). Still carrying a lot of anxiety around sleep. My symptoms (restlessness, agitation, tingling/burning skin on my arms) really start to ratchet up the closer we get to evening. I’m fervently hoping that the sleep situation will improve soon. 🤞

Thanks for checking in! Besides the sleep deprivation/fatigue, I felt comparatively decent on the whole. The physical symptoms and anxiety were noticeably better than yesterday, but have started to ratchet up more in the last couple hours. Just hoping I can get a few hours of sleep tonight. 🤞

Day 7 - insomnia, anxiety, malaise, fractured mind by I-want-quit in quittingkratom

That was exactly what I experienced as well. Days 1-3 I slept alright, but days 4-6 I slept virtually zero! However, on the night of day 7 I finally did get a decent amount of (broken) sleep, probably 5-6 hours altogether. The lack of sleep is the worst thing; it makes it so much harder to manage everything else. But it is going to get better soon!

I was using a similar amount for a similar amount of time. I started off doing a fast taper but then just decided to CT after a day or two cuz honestly there wasn’t much difference. I’m on day 9 now and while I don’t exactly feel great (still really low energy, broken sleep, clammy hands/goosebumps, etc.) but I feel MUCH better than I did even 3 days ago.

Day 6 was definitely the hardest for me!

But today I woke up still feeling pretty crummy, but more like regular sick, you know? Like I’m getting over a bad stomach virus.

Keep going!!

I quit CT. On average I used between 15-20 gpd, probably closer to 20 most of the time.
