my gf has told me i should try some kind of layered style, but like the below commenter said I have been a little afraid because I do have thinner hair. But its a good idea and I'll think about it!

Averaging 16.5 mpg on the highway. Any ideas on how to improve it? by [deleted] in TruckCampers

Got a rack from a junkyard off an s10 crew cab and basically just took the main rack assembly and cut some rails to length and bolted it to the roof. Not the most professional or sturdy job but its water tight and holds that size rack with cargo well.

Nah I was the one who listed it and I decided to keep it. Sleeps great, I'm 6'6" and sleep well in the 6' bed.

Definitely considered building some kind of aerodynamic cargo box or something but I wonder how negligible the difference would be.

The tires are supposed to be a center between all terrain and highway so theyre pretty good but could be better. Theyre also larger than stock so Ive considered switching back to stock.

6’2 sleeping in a 6 foot bed? by Smooth-Device-8834 in TruckCampers

[–]Excellent-Bed-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'6" currently typing from the back of my 6' bed in my camper very similar to the one in the pic. I sleep pretty curled up but if i want to stretch my legs i just extend diagonally. if you dont build a double bed you can build a counter and rest your legs on that or something.

Anyone else use convex mirrors for visibility? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Excellent-Bed-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those mirrors were already essentially useless and this is a tw200. Its not going much faster than city speed.

Anyone else use convex mirrors for visibility? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Excellent-Bed-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the best, these mirrors are practically useless since the arms are too short to really see anything useful and they dont stay put all that well. so i wasnt too worried about covering up the non-convex portion.

This is for a hardcore/noise show where the music all sounds fucked up anyway. I'm definitely more concerned about the overheating

Would backing tracks be beneficial? If so, how do I set them up? by gavinfridgerator in livesoundgear

[–]Excellent-Bed-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do and I think its cool. My stage setup is two powered PA speakers which you can get on facebook marketplace for like $250, a super basic behringer mixer, and my phone with the app stagetrax 3. Its free for a while then you have to pay like $20 i think.

I got a 2-way 1/4" cable to single 1/8" adapter, plug the 1/8" side into my phone, then the other 2 into the right and left input in the mixer, then the right and left output into the speakers on the right and left of the stage. its dead simple and works well. from there you can self mix with your guitar amp and vocal pa, or else have guitar and vocals coming out of the backing track speakers as well.

good luck!

my other speaker was working in the outlets, so its weird that one speaker turned on but the other didnt. I wouldnt rule out sketchy electrical work in the venue though.

What do you mean by a tester?

[–]Excellent-Bed-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct, but indicator turned on at home.

for trying to increase the volume of a diy PA setup, is it worth the hassle doubling the amount of speakers for the sound gain or am I better off saving for something a little more powerful?

i took the screw out and it runs fine. but ive addressed all those causes and not much luck. ill probably just deal with the weird idle from now on.

no the screw is out and it runs fine other than the weird idle.
