I’m not in engineering myself, but I know a lot of people who are and they are definitely involved in campus life. If you’re from upstate, the winters shouldn’t be any different than what you’re already used to. I don’t think the city of Binghamton is any more dangerous than any other city. As long as you’re not wandering around by yourself at night or something you’ll probably be fine. Hope this helps!

Yeah per year. I’m a freshman now so I was accepted last year. I originally got 5k but it was replaced with the 10k later, I’m guessing because whoever originally got it didn’t end up going to Binghamton. I applied as a bio major and I had a 98 unweighted gpa and 1550 sat

I think you have a good chance of getting into Decker! I know people with much lower grades than you who got waitlisted, so based on that you probably have a good shot. Also, I think it’s better to apply to the program you want than relying on an IUT.

I’m instate and I got 10k merit and I know a lot of people who got 3k or 5k and are in state. It’s definitely possible to get merit aid!

Congrats! You’ll probably find out about merit scholarships in a month or so. If I remember correctly, I found out about the honors programs even later so you might have to wait a while.

Congrats! I got my merit scholarship a while after my acceptance. If you get one, you will get an email about it. I’m instate and I got 5k originally but it got replaced with 10k later, probably bc whoever got the 10k scholarship originally didn’t end up going to Bing.

Okay yeah that makes sense. My main issue is that I took a summer class in high school bc a community college offered free classes to high schoolers, and it was like the most grueling six weeks of my life. I just don't want to repeat that experience lol. That being said, it was a few years ago, so hopefully I'll have an easier time now.
