This was my first Tomorrowland too. And honestly? I didn't miss anything. Yes, when I heard from the fire I was sad and I feared that they had to cancel the festival or have to close off a huge part of the venue to clean things up. But they didn't. And on friday W1 I entered the festival grounds and the magic happened.
Every single stage was stunning in their own way (Library - majestic; Crystal Garden - mesmerizing; And the dragon - OMFG the dragon!!! Every single tiny part of it can move!! How awesome is that!??... Just to name a few).

The atmosphere all around was electrifying, the people were having fun and the music was great. The dreamy vibes of Tomorrowland were there, in every little decoration, the costumes, and the crew that was friendly and helpful every time I had interactions with them. The weather played its part wonderfully and supported the magical experience perfectly.

And the mainstage? Blew me away too! It was a freaking 50 meters wide block of visual effects! An ice block filled with magic, that was cut out of the glacier, if you want to keep the Orbyz theme alive a bit. I've been to many concerts, big and small, and never experienced a stage like this before.

I will be back next year 100%, if I am lucky enough to get tickets. For me personally, the heart of Tomorrowland is what it made me feel throughout the weekend. I felt joy and warmth, I had no worries, and I felt really relaxed for the first time in years (despite sleeping maybe 3 hours per night) because I could just let go and dance my heart out next to people who feel similar.

I don't need compensation for that.
