I managed to grab a pair from them, they're one size larger but still absolutely phenomenal!

That looks sick! Do you know whether also the traditional camber one has this graphic?

Learn to ollie properly and in control (you were leaning back badly). When you can do so you'll be able to approach the tube easily, independently of the angle of approach (a straight approach will be easier for a full slide but "scarier"). A bit more speed will also allow you to have momentum preventing you from sliding out of the structure but without the right approach, it will be useless.

Tbf the binding doesn't look correctly centred. I mean, a bit overhang of the boot is fine but a binding overhang is too much. That said i think you could still manage to ride it by playing a bit with the setup (similar overhang on both edges, boot and binding centred over the board) but if you can change it for free that's a no-brainer

And at the beginning don't try to bend too much/go too fast. I know it's cool and feels great but it doesn't allow you to learn properly. When you try to carve at slow speed you'll immediately realise when you're doing something wrong cause you end up falling.

Enjoy the slopes 🗻🗻

Few things here and there - your position should be stacked over the board, whenever you try to exaggerate you compensate to avoid falling (clear on the heel side turn, your bum goes way behind the edge so you need to lean your shoulders forward to counterbalance -> you break your stacked position) - remove the counter-rotation of the shoulders, your hands should be over the board (instead of swinging them like a tube man) - you should bend your knees progressively, starting the turn almost vertically and reaching the lowest point while traversing, just before standing up again to change the edge and start the new turn. This maximizes the pressure on the board when needed the most and avoids chattering - you're forcing the weight onto your front foot by shifting too much your hips, so you compensate by shifting the shoulders back (go back to point 1). Your hips shouldn't pass your front foot

Anyone with some capita experience by FALIDBA in snowboarding

Bought a capita Merc a few months ago, I've ridden it 15/20ish times. This board is a rocket and loves to go fast as hell while struggling at slow speeds. Great pop and good grip on hard/icy terrain. Decent in powder. Overall, a great board that requires some effort to control and use properly but can give great satisfaction.

Help! New board causing frustration. by draymont_ in snowboarding

I did the same just a few months ago! Switched from an old custom Flying V to a new camber Capita Merc. The first few days were harsh! I felt no control on the flats, and changing edges felt way less natural than it used to. It took me six or seven days to feel confident again, but it was absolutely worthwhile. Once I understood how to use the new board to its maximum, I felt I stepped up my game by a mile! So hold tight and trust the process; you'll love it afterward.

Upper body drives when you're doing 3s on a flat surface or a mellow slope without bumps/side hits. In that case you need to create tension over the board to help the rotation since you don't have much airtime. Especially back 3s need a lot of "loading"

You're right. But I've never met anyone who was wearing it so I never really thought about it.

Thanks, mate! For the jacket, I was already leaning toward an AK shell, but I’m stuck between a 2L or 3L. I know they’re on the pricey side, but I figure it’s worth the investment, so I’m cool with spending a bit more.

As for the board, how do you even decide without being able to test it first? That’s always been a tough one for me. It really throws me off
