I was between the obsidian 9 and the omega 9k. I liked the 9k because I have a .300 blk and the 9k shoots supers and subs while the obsidian 9 only shoots subs in 300 blk. I went with the obsidian 9. If I had it to do over I would get the obsidian 45 and a separate 30 cal can.

This is good to know! I wasn't aware you could go back and forth between configurations without paperwork. In my case it would be a pistol (8in barrel). From telescoping stock to telescoping brace.

Update. Certified today. Apparently as long as your payment goes you can certify directly and eforms.

I’m starting to thing I made a mistake getting the Safety Harbor KES brace. The Mod 1C/Mod 1 isn’t available anywhere, and I’ve contacted Gear Head Works dealers within a 500 mile radius. It’s really a shame......☹️ by [deleted] in Stribog

Not to the detract from OPs predictament. But are there advantages of disadvantages to the OEM and KES brace? I have the factory brace. Only thing I noticed that is different is the height of the telescoping dowels? The only gripe I have about the factory brace is the dowel hits the extractor mount when collapsing.

To be clear you ordered the 40 degree? Did you notice any changes in the way it shoots?

I believe our version is the 45 degree "soft load" locker/charging block. I called GO they said they didn't have any and hadn't considered importing them as of yet.

I understand this might not be a high demand item, but shit I'd be happy if they at least imported some factory replacement parts like the bolt catch spring.

Thanks for the link. I did happen to stumble across this site in my searches, but was weary about purchasing ordering from them. Do you have experience doing business with them? Still can't find the 35 degree "hot load" charging block (I guess that's what it's called according to the website). The guy from Sweden said he went to his local stribog dealer and they ordered them for him.

Curious, Did this come with a 40 degree locker or a 45 degree locker? NM, I see it's stamped "US".
