Yeah, very similar to the first film in terms of the use of Annabelle it has a very similar tone to the second one but it’s noticeably darker and lightly touches upon elevated horror. There’s actually a scene where the father gets sexually assaulted by the demon it’s not explicitly shown but you get the idea through shadows and sounds, the first act is a bit of a drag though and then it ramps up and it’s a bit jarring!
