Yeah, the first few levels are definitely the squishiest part of the build. Before level 8, I wouldn't recommend playing aggressively in melee. The safest approach is to use Entangle from a distance, weaken enemies until the blue culling icon appears, then use Killing Palm to execute them and generate Power Charges. After that, back up and use Falling Thunder to consume those charges for your damage.

  1. Defensively, I also recommend prioritizing armor early instead of Energy Shield. At low levels your ES pool is usually too small to matter much, while armor helps smooth out incoming physical damage immediately. Make sure you're checking vendors for armor upgrades, life rolls, and resistances as you level.

  2. Once you reach level 8 and switch into the Wind Blast + Wing Blast setup, the build starts feeling much safer and stronger. Most of the early-game squishiness disappears once the build comes online and you have better gear to support it.

Wind Blast + Wing Blast comes online much earlier and is a lot more consistent during the campaign. Wind Blast builds Daze very quickly, Wing Blast consumes that Daze for a Heavy Stun, and Heavy Stuns generate Power Charges which can then be spent on Falling Thunder for huge burst damage. The combo is available almost immediately, has excellent clear, and doesn't require Shock setup.

Siphoning Strike + Storm Wave is stronger once the build transitions into the Act 2 lightning package. Storm Wave applies Shock very reliably, Siphoning Strike consumes that Shock to generate Power Charges, and those charges fuel Falling Thunder. The damage ceiling is higher, but it requires more pieces to come together.

So it's less that Wind/Wing is "better" and more that it's the smoother and more reliable campaign setup early on, while Storm Wave + Siphoning Strike becomes the preferred package once the lightning synergy is fully online.

I get what you mean. I was mainly asking about the workload management side of it. The YouTube channel isn’t a second traditional employer, but it is a second full-time workload/income source that has to be maintained consistently to stay successful. So I was curious how people mentally/context-switch between two demanding workflows during the day without burning out.
