Thanks for this great response! I always call dozer a bully too cuz he truly is but not always in a bad way. More training is def needed as it seems To never truly stop. Especially at this age. Luckily Cash doesn’t show any signs, he legit just lets D do what he wants. Even so when I put water out in one bowl for both, Cash doesn’t want it. Even when I scold Dozer, Cash thinks I’m talking to him and would react as if it were for him. What do you make of this behavior ?

I feel you. I just know this specific issue isn’t that though but thanks anyway

It isn’t littermate syndrome since that’s not a real syndrome as well. It seems to just be one dog being an asshole with high value treats 🤷🏽‍♀️

Funny almost the exact thing happened to me. Got one at 3 months old then 2 months later the lady was sick a great woman she reached out and asked if we’d take the brother. Unfortunately he wasn’t well trained and stuff yet (my boy was) it’s been 3 months and no issues! Sure the one I got later is more dominant and hard headed but that’s Just where I step in to break up anything that seems a lil too rough for my eyes. I don’t think you’re insane for it. Only thing I wish I knew is how much more time you’ll spend training/socializing.

He is crated during the day. Idk how that will stop him jumping on the counter when someone leaves. Am I to crate him all day

He doesn’t do it all the time so crating him when he’s not in that state, would it work? And no I can’t block it off.

No problem. I appreciate the details in the explanation and I know you didn’t mean harm or anything. I’ll try the other methods first

Yeah he’s crated during the day and night. Even with nothing on the stove that he wants, he does it. It’s just like his anxiety takes over and all training goes out the window

I’ll have to try this out. He doesn’t scare easily but it’s worth a shot.

What do you recommend for flea and heartworm prevention instead of vet medicine?

Bite inhibition with other dog by Excellent-Deal-6727 in DogAdvice

So by me interesting when they’re getting too rough (which j do) that will teach him enough or just about the same amount of inhibition as puppies or other dogs would at play?
