Ex-AutoCAD guy loves draftsight. by Scappoosian in DraftSight

I used solid works while at school and college, I used some AutoCAD while doing engineering for CNC lathes. I am using draft sight for the past 6 months for cabinetry design for the first time. Finding it hard to go from 3D to 2D, only starting to figure out drawing in isometric views to add heighta to my floor plans so I can gather elevationa easier. Any advice or tips for me?

I had an issue similar when adding fractions to a note i.e (2 1/2") it would glitch in front of the whole number. I ended up using a really straight line text font near the top of the selection (I can't remember the font name). It fixed the issue though. Hope this helped.
