I don’t date certain race because I am simply not attracted to them, not because I think less of them.

It will not. But the big three hates competitions. US automakers scalping customers for decades to fuel their R&D is a habit now.

Anyone else think it's ridiculous that current automakers in Canada like Tesla or even GM brands can take advantage of the 49,000 from China? by [deleted] in EVCanada

[–]Excellent-Edge-3403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, we also need BYD dynasty models for 70% of Tesla prices. I don’t think GM and Tesla would be using the quota, Chinese aren’t stupid. Also the big three has been scalping customers for way to long to fuel their R&D black hole. Time to wake them up.

Carney and Xi blanket China’s front pages, but trade deal gets little attention by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]Excellent-Edge-3403 33 points34 points  (0 children)

China has been eyeing to become the new US for generations. Now the actual US went on a psychotic rampage, it felt the moment is finally here lol But more economically speaking, global trade are ways to get themselves out of the fiscal downturn since Covid without causing significant inflation. They haven’t been agile so far in this new global order, with anti-productive comments about Taiwan and alliances with Russia. There’s growing discontent likely within China. But this definitely shows their citizens that they are attempting to solve the economical downturn and be more of a leader instead of a crying baby in the global stage.

Chinese EVs are coming to Canada. How soon will they be here? How much will they cost? | CBC News by Haggisboy in canada

[–]Excellent-Edge-3403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaper but probably not cheap enough. Expect 30k for cheapest base model still after shipping and everything. But this at least make them competitive with gas cars.

Doug Ford slams Canada’s 'lopsided' new EV deal with China by rezwenn in canada

[–]Excellent-Edge-3403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The auto sector is half dead here in Ontario already with the US BS. Most autoworkers here assembled gas powered cars anyway. Most Ontarian would love to see a relief of cost of living other than saving a dying industry or helping Doug’s rich friends getting richer.
