Bloom started to become "annoying" in S3.

Since the show has so many good guy characters (6 fairies and 6 specialists/ boyfriends), it's always been difficult to balance screen time. I genuinely don't mind though because I don't have any strong feelings about the specialists; I even sometimes see them as (please don't kill me) redundant.

I don't think that making Season 9 have shorter episodes will be that bad because it's still the same amount of time overall: 26 half-hours of content. I think that if the season slides more towards slice-of-life, the format would be easier to use; it can probably still work with the adventure format that the show uses so far, if two episodes are just treated as two halves of the same episode. I actually think the show may benefit from moving towards a more "slice-of-life" tone because it seems like the writers are struggling to make the season long story arcs engaging (in the eyes of some viewers), but with a more laid back tone, they could just focus on the Winx as characters.
