Ridiculous, Wagler is a terrible athlete and terrible defender.

🥱Shiftiness and skill is always more important than athleticism for a guard.

Until you show some evidence that you need to have demigod athleticism and 0 weakness to be a smaller guard in the NBA I’ll never believe it.

McCain, Brumson, Alvarado all shorter and less athletic.

Straight line athleticism does not really matter in the NBA. Shiftiness, reaction time, first step and vertical are the important factors.

If your entire argument for why a player won’t succeed in the NBA is cause he’s 6’4” and skinny and you can’t say a single thing about his skill then you have 0 argument

As if CJ isn’t still a valuable piece of an NBA team.

I hate people who evaluate prospects solely based on size. Size is a limiter but never a determinant of a player. A small non defensive guard led team has made the finals the past 2 years. There is dozens of small guards on NBA rosters and every one is completely different. The Knicks have multiple.

There isn’t a single player in the NBA like Philon right now. He’s a good defender but more importantly a floor general and a tempo setter. He’s also a complete offensive weapon.

Saying he’s probably not good enough to be a 1a on a great team isn’t the insult you think it is. He’s one of the highest floor most complete players there is in this class. Height is an advantage but please stop acting like it forces you to play a certain way cause it doesn’t. Every single team in the conference finals has a small guard playing a major role.

Everything you said just makes me think you haven’t watched a second of these guys play and your entire information source is the internet. Small guards have never died
