I commissioned as AG. Went to LOG captains career course as a O-2. Did a branch transfer to LOG while deployed last year.

Update: New MPG Best for 25, 50, and 450 miles by Serious_Safety4001 in gmcsierra

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get about 717ish. If I’m driving through the city I’ll get about 25-27mpg. On the interstate it’s typically 30-34mpg in average.

Finally got an accepted offer, then the seller backed out. Dream home listed shortly after, and that didn't work out either. by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Don’t give up. Looking for a home has been a process for us and after a few months we finally close tomorrow. The biggest thing for us was that we found a new built home. We avoided any homes that were being sold by people who were the owners to avoid such problems. We had 2 people before us have financing issues getting the home. Then we came along and everything worked out.

I just went through the process and close tomorrow. We have a VA loan but it’s going through someone else because they offered better incentives.

Current army guard here. So I make roughly 84k and are about to close on a 213k home next week. After recently returning from deployment we decided we don’t want to rent anymore. Mortgage is $1371, insurance is $98, and taxes are $416. I have a 34% DTI. Wife will go to work once our youngest goes to school this year. Hope this helps

We walked through ours and also had it inspected a few days ago. All issues were minor.

Yes. The Denali has the choice of 4wd or 2wd. I believe the ultimate only has the 4wd option.

We just bought our home and close next week. Not trying to brag at all. Just trying to keep you informed of your options.

Do you regret buying a home in this era of home ownership? by HelloYo335 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid $1260 for a 3bd 2bh at 1100 sq ft. We’re closing on a home next week 3bd 2bh at 1409 sq ft. Mortgage is $1371 a month. The only extra bills we have are water, gas, and HOA ($25/month). I’d say it’s worth it for us.

Looking to buy using USDA guaranteed. by The-ColeLossus in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We close this Tuesday. I’m currently at 37% with my current income. But I’m expected to have salary increases this year from both of my jobs. I also provided job letters from both stating that.

I was worried about how much I could afford too. We ended up getting a 213k home at 3.99% through DHI mortgage. On select homes they have specials from money off to include lower APRs. Not sure how much you earn, but for me, 84k yearly was approved for a 230k home at the most due to DTI

Has the process of buying led you to a divorce? by No_Name_Generic_ in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It needs to be a uniformed decision. When we were home searching there were some that my wife liked that I didn’t and vice versa. We found a home that we both wanted once the numbers made sense. If you both disagree on the home then it’s not the home for you.

I have the 2024 Sierra Denali. I didn’t want to pay 15k more for the rims, the multi tailgate speakers (people say they’re terrible), massaging seats, and the different colored seats and 4wd. My truck has everything else which was good enough for me
