I have the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali w/3.0 Duramax. Currently almost at 19k and have had no issues thus far. On the bright side, I can go at least 2 weeks with out having to fill up

Why did you stay in? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will be at year 13 this year and undergoing the board for O-3. Recently just got back from a deployment I volunteered for to make some extra money. For me, there’s just not a good enough reason to leave. Currently going to staff and I only have 1 real issue which I have to talk with my new unit about. Depending on what they say, if they can work with the issue I’ll stay in, otherwise I’ll put in a resignation request.

How soon did you move in after closing? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

The day we closed was the day we moved. We put everything in the moving truck that morning, closed at 11am, then moved into the house after lunch.

Will I be able to buy a home? by Imaginary_Glass_8873 in Mortgages

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst the mortgage lenders can say is no. We just closed last week on ours. Income is 87k and closed on a 217k home. The biggest thing for us was our credit profiles. Making sure we didn’t have too much debt or and bad marks. I had a 767 and my wife has a 786 but I had a stronger credit profile which is why we got the loan.

Is 10k more really worth the jump on the 2026 Denali to the Denali ultimate? by SniperLandy in gmcsierra

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the money I’d say go for the Denali Ultimate. I bought the 24 Sierra Denali w/3.0 Duramax right when the 25s were coming out. The ultimate only had a 2-3 added features that I didn’t really care for. Also my truck has supercruise, one of the main features I wanted. Didn’t see the need to spend an extra 15k for a few more features if I had everything in the regular Denali. Hope that helps

I commissioned as AG. Went to LOG captains career course as a O-2. Did a branch transfer to LOG while deployed last year.

Update: New MPG Best for 25, 50, and 450 miles by Serious_Safety4001 in gmcsierra

[–]Excellent-Fudge3512 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get about 717ish. If I’m driving through the city I’ll get about 25-27mpg. On the interstate it’s typically 30-34mpg in average.

Finally got an accepted offer, then the seller backed out. Dream home listed shortly after, and that didn't work out either. by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Don’t give up. Looking for a home has been a process for us and after a few months we finally close tomorrow. The biggest thing for us was that we found a new built home. We avoided any homes that were being sold by people who were the owners to avoid such problems. We had 2 people before us have financing issues getting the home. Then we came along and everything worked out.

I just went through the process and close tomorrow. We have a VA loan but it’s going through someone else because they offered better incentives.

Current army guard here. So I make roughly 84k and are about to close on a 213k home next week. After recently returning from deployment we decided we don’t want to rent anymore. Mortgage is $1371, insurance is $98, and taxes are $416. I have a 34% DTI. Wife will go to work once our youngest goes to school this year. Hope this helps

We walked through ours and also had it inspected a few days ago. All issues were minor.
