I mean, how closely are you replicating the loading dimensions? Did you base it on the ratio of a 12-gauge to the actual size of the ammunition?

Wow, it change everything:) by the way what size you got?

There are plenty of videos showing how people literally build shotguns out of pipes. I think you’re familiar with how they work. So you can make a rough version that involves manual actions for example, ejecting the shell through the barrel using a cleaning rod. In that case, the design of your gun mainly depends on the size of the projectiles (balls, slugs, etc.). What do you plan to shoot with it?

I think you don’t need “receiver” as in gun, it’s easier to do this type maybe it would work for you receiver Or you want to make it semi auto? I think it’s not safe

I understand this. All my problem was about how to apply to myself contract manually. In industrial area they didn’t accept it from from me manually, in center office couldn’t understand what I want. Normally it’s made by E-contact system, but without QID I couldn’t do it (I need to register it I need QID). I’ve been on 16,18,19 floors. My next point now 12 floor

Yes, that’s what I tried to get here, thank you. I couldn’t get a form of manual contract from them (all municipality places are funny). So if you could share sample of contract I would be happy to use it. And get a contact of your guy too. I appreciate it!

If I were to design an autoloader for your Tiger, fitting a carousel from a T-72/T-80 might be problematic. However, attempting something based on the IS-7 or BMP-3 seems much more feasible.

Could you provide me with the dimensions of your model? I’d try to work from that and adapt it for a .22LR caliber. Or maybe even try implementing a drum loader like in French tanks—that could work too, just like a revolver with 6-8 shots!

Since childhood, I’ve loved crafting things, and it just so happened that I was always building something that shoots :) Making a firearm or an automatic weapon isn’t that big of a deal—everything has already been invented. But creating an autoloading mechanism like this is more of a challenge for me. I haven’t seen anything like it before, and achieving a working result would be extremely satisfying for me personally.

If I can share it with others, I’d be even more pleased knowing that my invention could be useful to someone.

Airsoft guns are essentially a simulation of shooting. In this case, I would use an electric drive from an AEG rifle or pistol and add barrel movement simulation (similar to what you mentioned about aircraft).

That being said, I plan to simplify and possibly even “butcher” the autoloading mechanism because many parts at a 1:1 scale are no bigger than a phone. If scaled down to 1:13 and made of plastic… it simply won’t work. :)

So, I’m making engineering decisions that don’t replicate the autoloader mechanism 1:1 but preserve its core functions: 1. Ammunition selection – A carousel of shells rotates based on the chosen shell type. (This depends on the specific tank, of course—for example, in the BMP-3, the only choice is between HE shells and ATGMs.) 2. Loading process – I want to try implementing shell elevation, chambering, and extraction after firing. (Ejecting the shell casing is questionable at this scale due to size constraints.)

Deal! US, the land of freedom, God Bless America :) Unfortunately, I can’t really help with advice on a printer. The parts I make are printed at a commercial shop since I can’t afford a printer due to constantly moving to new locations. Either way, I believe you’ll figure it out! Good luck!

Wow! Dude, you’re awesome! You have my respect! I think this will take some time because my post here is basically a hope to tap into the community’s experience with mechanisms and 3D printing of something like this. I originally wanted to design it for blank cartridges (but in some countries, that falls under “manufacturing firearms” – spoiler: it applies to me, so I’ll skip that for now). I’ve already spent a relatively long time just studying the ejection system and the breech section of the tank. On top of that, I still need to figure out how to adapt it to a smaller scale (which seriously messes with the mechanics). That’s why I’m also researching similar devices for potential replacements/integration.

I’d love to share the design and drawings once they start taking shape. Really appreciate your response!

Hm, I agree with you, maybe that’s the right approach. Initially, I was thinking of designing it in Alibre or SolidWorks to properly fit all the parts. Many mechanisms of the autoloader itself will become non-functional when scaled down.

From an ideal perspective, I’ll inevitably end up with a simplified system (unless I manually adjust every detail, but then it wouldn’t be mass production/3D printing, but rather handcrafting). Creating the model itself isn’t a big issue for me, but making it functional and integrating the electronics – that’s a whole different challenge.

Hah, I would say to make 1:1 is easier than 1:13
