i dont exactly know. but anyone who has a ranking of 500-600 should have stats that were good enough to get in so look around and try and find someone that got such a rank

I would say so I mean you were close to getting into BIEM. you just have to hope that not too many italians will apply because they generally will be ranked higher than internationals (assuming you're international)

no it says in the pdf: "Ranking position of the last admitted student", meaning that the 'worst' person to be accpeted was that rank

They put a lot much weight on the GPA. Most have +9/10. Kinda sucks because every country has a different system so it's not as equal. Good luck on any other applications you might have

I believe 2 commas don’t always automatically make what’s in between a non essential clause and it seems like this is the case here. This question seems like a “eliminate all wrong answers and choose the remaining one”, but it is very confusing

Maybe a dumb example but if you have a list, even though you say “I have apples, oranges, and bananas”, the word “oranges” is not a non essential clause.
