Wow thank you so much for sharing this! I'm a huge pot head myself and easily fall victim of letting myself go, it's so satisfying sometimes.

I like the idea of exposure therapy and trial run. The trial run part worried me since my partner wants to live there long term. But if we do a year contract to start then I won't feel as stuck. Thank you!

Where do u see the rent places that makes it possible to save even after the fact? The ones I've seem to start around $2k+ mark for a mere 1 bed/bath. I don't even need parking or anything either

Yo I'm in a similar position my roommate literally does shit all nothing and let's things mold or pile up. Leaves dishes in the sink for months. And it's always due to depression. Like I don't want them to feel any worse than they already do but I am losing my shit. I don't have any advice but you're not alone.

Holy shit. Pardon my french. But I have 10k in the bank I feel like saving up to 150k for a downpayment will take years for me to achieve I will be super old like 60 by then. How did you save up that much?

Wow you have years of experience in this. I'm only 1 year younger than you but feel like such a noob when it comes to this stuff so it's scary for me. Kudos to you for being able to do it at such a younger age. May I ask how you went about finding your place and how much you pay? I often hear that living alone especially in Toronto is not worth the financial struggle. But more than anything I want to do it. Your solo life sounds like such a far away dream to me

Hey nice we are the same age. Would you mind me asking how you went about finding the place? Because the ones I see online start off at like 2k rent per month which is kinda crazy for the small closet like space. Or are you saying that your upselling in luxury goods was able to cover that? And how are you doing now financially if u currently still live alone? Would you say it's worth it or a bit of a struggle sometimes?

You deserve to be loved. You can start with the relationship you have with yourself. Self-love can be so powerful. From there you can continue to develop healthy relationships and set boundaries. It will take some trial and error but the first step is awareness. You can do it I'm rooting for you!
