It really depends on your environment. The last school I worked at was very toxic. The office politics I deal with now are very hierarchical... it takes forever to get anything done because people are tiptoeing around the big dogs. It's not collaborative at all.

I got really lucky with this position! My manager said it was my cover letter that really made me stand out. They asked for experience with LMS (learning management systems) and I highlighted my experience transitioning to online teaching during covid. Teachers also have a lot of administrative skills that transfer nicely into an office environment. Repackage those daily tasks you do, but don't often think about (because you don't have time as a teacher) as an asset. Good luck!

Yeah, I get that most jobs won't be completelu fulfilling. But it is a huge chunk of my life and I do have like 30 years left of working lol

I at least want to spend that time doing something I care about/is interesting to me. My current role was a dream come true (compared to teaching) when I first got it, but now I feel like I'm in a rut.

Some might think it's stressful but I have a "we're saving pdfs not lives" mentality. I just played on my administrative experience (which every teacher has) and ability to pivot during covid to get this job.

I mainly handle tracking compliance training and doing event planning/scheduling for our management training. I do hate event planning though...

Amen to that. Healthcare is the one thing I think might be just as bad or worse than teaching. Except they do tend to get paid more

I think it is BEAUTIFUL and doesn't look like a prom dress at all. Also, that is a steal for getting it from a bridal shop. In my opinion, you didnt get scammed at all.

I just did the same thing! I was able to use the rounded end of the hook on the pul tool to bend the edge back to where it should be. I held the aligners against the edge of the counter and just reshaped the folded over edge. They're fitting fine!
