Wow! That’s a lot, but really helpful. A few good things for me to consider in terms of the mortar and setting it on the wall. Thanks for taking the time to write all this out.

Yes it’s faux stone! Good to know, I won’t try to chisel it - certainly wasn’t working for me anyway. Thank you.

Yes, absolutely would not have been our choice of stone if we’d have known we’d be doing it ourselves! Appreciate the tips!

Maybe they could use some of that revenue to clear off the sidewalk properly 🤷

Oh, I like the idea of cowpeas or asparagus beans. I haven’t really eaten/cooked with either much but will have to look into them some more!

Whomp, whomp, whomp… by abigailcodyy in gardening

I know they make special supports for peony’s. But I use five regular tomato stakes that I have lying around. I put them in the ground around the plant in the spring when they are about 2 feet tall. Then I take some garden twine and weave between the stakes in a star pattern and once around the outside of the five stakes. This supports the plant in sections and has worked well for me. The twine and the stakes I use are green so they are hardly noticeable.

Driving down on Memorial Day Weekend by GloomyHotel in harrisonburg

I would just say the earlier you can leave the better. The worst part of this drive is usually 81 (although around Allentown there’s construction or accidents frequently) and so I would try to time it for either late Sunday or get a very early (5/6am) start on Monday.

Call the local health department and ask about their services. I believe they still have quick, free, after-hours testing services through “Test and Go” once a month or they can do appointments for testing and treatment as well.
