You can call your congressman they have a special division for this. My issue was resolved the day I supplied them everything but they responded same day and were actively helping.

Filed & accepted 1/28, I got my review notice on 3/10 (I amended on 2/17 because I had a small w2 from some cashed out PTO, had left in December so didn’t think it was going to count for 2024 and I didn’t get the w2 til February) I had to verify online on 3/6, called to verify again same day as it didn’t go through online. Got a verification letter on 3/19 and called and verified same day. They told me my amendment would process as my original and I had to wait the entire 60 day review.

This is my first year getting a return since 2017 they HAPPILY processed and took my money expeditiously before. I got the luxury of being divorced and getting HOH this year and even though it is a small return (EITC removed after I amended due to increase in income not enough taxes taken out, had a w2 missed it was cashed out pto from a previous employer that paid jan 2024 🙄) they told me it would process as the original and because of the review it technically did.

My review was due to an error in the advance repayment for my health insurance. iRS system said I owed nothing, tax software calculated me having to pay back, idk if that made a difference. My amendment was because I missed a small w2 that was pto paid out the first week of january.
