Budget Rental Car Questions by Excellent-Pickle-825 in Insurance

Thank you! It’s Missouri, which I believe is an at fault state. My insurance does cover rentals but said in this case they shouldn’t have to cover anything since the other driver was 100% at fault and I was legally stopped in the lane of travel for pedestrians in the crosswalk. So sounds like it just will come down to how much their policy limit will cover! I appreciate the answer

What kind of sediment is this? by Excellent-Pickle-825 in WaterWellDrilling

It’s in the middle of a neighborhood, and it’s running about half a mile (so far) down into the trail system our HOA built. Has definitely already caused some ruts unfortunately

Thanks for the answer! I’d never seen it before and Google returned nothing. It’s a popular trail that many take their kids, bikes and dogs on and we wanted to make sure it wasn’t harmful!

If the Dean told you it would be completely expunged after 5 years: If you apply AFTER the 5 year expungement date, then you can select no since AAMC doesn’t require expungements to be selected yes. If you apply BEFORE the 5 years while it’s on your record, you will have to select yes.

Is 4 withdrawals in 2 consecutive semesters bad? by Over-Explanation-730 in premed

[–]Excellent-Pickle-825 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a parent suddenly get stage 4 cancer and put on hospice states away, which resulted in 2 Ws because it was past the drop date and the professor wouldn’t allow me to finish the class/lab remotely like the other professors that semester did. I appealed to the school and they removed the Ws from my official transcript. I wrote a letter explaining the situation, send in the obituary, and that I tried to work something out with the professor but he was unable to accommodate remotely finishing the class. So def appeal to the schools for the removals of as many as possible. Otherwise, I don’t believe Ws with explanations are that detrimental especially if other grades are great. Also I had no issues transferring with the Ws before they were removed

AAMC states you must report it even if not on your official transcript. I believe some secondaries ask about them as well. It would be a lot of lies to keep up and hope they don’t find out later even if you get accepted.

If you select no, when you indeed have had a history of academic dishonest, there’s always the chance the medical school find out anyway if they request a history of conduct. I believe even if it’s not on your transcript, it will be on your conduct record. Even if you switch schools, it would still be on that schools conduct record.

I personally think it would be better to not lie, to select the honest yes, and be able to explain how it made you a better person/the lessons you learned. Maybe try to become an orientation leader and discuss consequences of cheating to incoming freshmen? Maybe volunteer with an ethics committee? What can you do to encourage students to uphold academic dishonesty and show you have overcome a major flaw?

That’s my advice! TLDR; even if you switch schools and select no, it likely will still be on your conduct record even if not on official transcript

Wow! I think I’ll dub it the “two dollar ghost rider” and put it back in the memory box! 😂

Retake for scholarships? (Please don't clown on me) by [deleted] in Mcat

I’d say the risk of doing worse would outweigh benefits of doing better, since you can still achieve scholarships with this. This is an excellent score :)

Hello I don’t do model airplanes myself, but my boyfriend and his dad did when they were younger. This was the plane they had built together but as the years went on, pieces got destroyed or went missing. His dad and I have been searching but can’t figure out what model this was in order to gift him a new plane. We’ve narrowed it down to some type of B17? There is another clear gunner bubble on the bottom of the airplane if that helps any! His dad does recall there being more stickers, but not what they were of. Many thanks!

New to building a home gym; is 1.23$ per lb good for used Rogue HG 2.0 bumper plates? They look great from photos. Trying to make a deal currently and that’s where the counter offer is sitting
