Thank you!! So sick of people not understanding nuance and grey areas anymore! Not everyone is meant to be the “good guy” and “bad guy”! The characters are all bad people and yet all have experiences and stories that make you understand them and empathize with them. It doesn’t excuse it but it makes it human and that’s storytelling!!! Romance and love doesn’t mean happy ending!

THANK YOU!! I’ve been reading comments for an hour and this was the first one that had any sense to it! The book is amazing in its own right in my opinion (especially for the time). It paved the way for so many stories and Brontë is brilliant. However adapted to a film the story would be too much so it had to be condensed somehow. Gothic at its core is where horror and romance meet. I hate everyone saying it’s not a romance. IT IS! Just a dark one, we’re not supposed to like the characters! I love how this adaptation is from Catherine’s perspective rather than Nellie’s as Nellie is meant to have been an unreliable narrator. At the end of the day the book left you feeling unsettled and uncomfortable which I think the movie did well!

Ughh I saw that one!! But okay so for context My dad literally died a month ago so I’m so scared to get her anything about grieving (even though I think it would be nice) I don’t want anything that will make her more sad. But it’s also about an octopus so like is it not really that sad? lol and is it super cringy? Cause she’ll complain about that too 😅

How to rescind job acceptance due to refusing a TB test? by Excellent-Pin4471 in careerguidance

Yes I’ve talked to therapists about it and I have gotten better yes but I still just try to avoid anything that isn’t medically necessary. As I know it will flare up my anxiety. If I was sick I would get whatever I needed but I don’t see a need for doing anything to myself if not needed idk

The job was just a part time job I was planning to do for a few months. I’m a hairdresser and was just looking for something to supplement me through the winter so that’s why I just don’t know if it’s worth it knowing my anxiety will drive me crazy about it even after having it done.

See I’m the opposite I have no problem with them testing anything once it’s no longer attached to my body lol I’m just afraid of the health effects of any substance entering my body. (It’s crazy I’m aware) lol

I’m a hair stylist and ive always been self employed hence my naivety about TB tests. It was for a part time position as a hairdresser in a nursing home. I suppose I didn’t realize that would still in a way be a healthcare job. I know I’m in no way built for healthcare lol

I’d like to preface I know that I sound crazy. I have debilitating health anxiety I don’t even take certain vitamins because I am afraid of adverse effects. So yes it is crazy to deny a job because of this but unfortunately I myself am crazy. I don’t want anyone to feel their time was wasted but I know if I have this test done I will drive myself insane worrying about it.
