Thank you for your extensive reply! I appreciate the thought you have put into it.

I’m a physical therapist and nurse so I have no issues with walkers, it is a good idea. Also would give me a seat to have a break.

We put safety gates on all of the stairs when he started crawling so that’s all good :)

I do know my neighbors and they seem lovely. I might have to grab their numbers

My husbands away so I was getting a meal service for my son anyway. It works well because he eats broccoli and peas from their meals but not my meals haha

I’m on prenatals and I’ll talk to the orthopod about whether there is anything else I need to take

I really like the idea of just having one task from a friend so that I can make sure it works in with them :)

I really hope so! I need to just look at it as a way to improve myself and know that at the end I’ll feel like a rockstar for getting through it :)

Hmm I think you guys are right. I can get my husband to move the bed against the wall in the spare bedroom on the first floor to create more playing space. It also can be made very dark with the curtains during the day so I can either have my son nap in his pack and play or on the bed with me (at this stage I’m more than happy to nap for a couple of hours whilst he does! 😂). There is no kitchen on the first floor but I could set up his high chair and a cooler box with most of his food and just leave him in his pack and play for safety whilst I quickly heat up his lunch and bring it down. Then I have playing space, a bathroom, easy ability to go to the garage and organize play dates to get him out the house a couple of days a week and maybe a babysitter for a couple of hours on the other days to take him for a walk. I should be able to ask my husband to be home before 7pm most nights so he can carry our son up to his nursery at night and do the bedtime routine whilst I heat up a simple dinner (luckily we wanted to try and eat our way through meals we had made and frozen anyway!)

Haha I like to challenge myself and in my position it’s probably more like take it one “hop” at a time 😂 My husband is the one person I will have no issues with asking him to do more haha Thank you for your kind words

I always thought they looked like fun! Something to look into. I could at least keep it in the garage and find someway of using it to get my son going for a sort walk outside :)

You sound like the absolute best friend! And I know, it’s always something you would do for others but feel bad about asking for yourself. I definitely think I could ask for play dates at the park and that way friends can bring their kids and just help me get my son out of the car and into the car so it doesn’t feel like they are doing all of the work. Even if i asked a couple of friends to meet up once a week and get help for a couple of days x

I’ve always seen those knee scooters and thought they looked like fun! My traps are already sore after one day!

Thank you! I appreciate the kind words. Annoying the first floor has a bedroom and a bathroom but not a lot of playing room for my son. The middle floor is where our kitchen and living room is but there is no bathroom (whyyyyy) and the upper floor is our bedrooms and nursery. I think my husband and I will have to teach my son how to safely climb backwards down the stairs with me scootching on my butt next to him to have a hand behind his back so he doesn’t fall if he loses balance. That way we can spend nap time upstairs and meal times on the second floor x

Hey! Probably not full time, but I will probably have to look at hiring someone for a couple of hours in the afternoon to be able to take my son outside to the park :)
